Thanks for stopping by
Watty - i was utterly exhausted too (been a bit under the weather) and had to move the clothes to get into bed - by then though i felt like a responsible adult as i couldn't stay in bed as i had so much to do as my mr reminded me by asking whats for tea and whats for lunches (where's the rolly eyes smiley ?)
Thanks KC - it does seem a lot doesn't it ? - that isn't *all* of my coats and jackets just the ones in that bit of the wardrobe - 4 less now as they have been listed :T
Unfortunately i've tried that before and just been given the direct no. to ring and as it was so important to sort out i didn't want to get all stressed and time wasting before i started. What was annoying was that i was very patient and very calm and just kept pointing out the contradiction and asking for it to be sorted out now - maybe if i'd lost my cool i'd have got there faster ? Still then i would've been annoyed and thats not good :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hey Dedicated.
Were they 0870 numbers? New phone deals (landline) seem to include them and 0845 ones nowadays so perhaps it's worth bearing in mind for your next contract, if you haven't already got them included. x

Completed section 1 of 5 on the wardrobe pretty much. I say pretty much as with items discarded to either carboot, bay of e and 1 top downgraded to a new pj top ( i needed 1 and it was only £3 new and has already been worn enough to have got my moneys worth
and it would only get 20p at carboot ) I now have identifed a few bits that i need to wear more or sell. 1 top has become a work top as i got rid of 1 work top so that should get worn  Other top lovely - so why don't i wear it? Might do now as i say - other things have gone.
Throwing in the towel now on the bay of e £179 worth of items listed
Identified 4 items to list next time its a FLW but as the comp has been crashing it has got pretty frustrating now.
Real, actual space in this part of the wardrobe now :T And there will be other items to list from this area at some point too - but it has been decluttered enough for now
Hope some stuff sells now so i can pay for the car being fixed
So a more or less productive day, hopefully progress being made with mortgage company; progress on assignment too; nsd; meal from stores as planned; packed lunches made from stores; MS company contacted; started sorting item to be returned before comp crashed again; and lots of items cleared out of the house :T

You must be so glam!
My wardrobe consists of a few pairs of trousers, jumpers, t-shirts, one 'smart' dress and a few smarter tops. I've got one coat, which I very rarely wear.
I should smarten up really
Well done on the decluttering though, you are doing fab!
I agree about the phone too, I get 0845 and 0870 included in the costs. It's only mobiles now I pay more for."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Thanks PB - i think though that we don't have free calls at the times the mortgage place is open - they just keep regular office hours mon-fri which is very frustrating.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Haha jwil :rotfl::rotfl: i have been accused of such a thing before - always by people who do not see me at home where pj's are de rigeur  and also not by people who see me at work - i am smart / wear functional clothes for work and thats it
I'm not sure you need to smarten up - we probably both need to meet somewhere in the middlei am sure i still need less clothes
- i wear a coat most days - i have to walk over a mile getting to and from work and it is chilly!
I do feel better for the decluttering but as i say with 1 or 2 things i will only sell if they go at the right price as they are easily worth that
I don't pay for mobi numbers as i use my mobi for any of those calls and don't go over my allowance. Even if 0870 etc. were included in my phone contract for the landline we only have offers for evening / weekend and its only the mortgage company that isn't open then :mad:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Yep, pyjamas at home are really important, aren't they
I'm glad the decluttering is helping - always feels good to clear a space, for me, anyway.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello All,
Well what a few days it has been!
The computer has totally been playing up if i have managed to get on at all it has then crashed - it is an old laptop i think we've had a good 7 years out of it now. Of course, there is no money to replace it and we will soldier on for now.
The car is going back into the garage - i knew this already but it is still frustrating, again i will need to know the cost of any repairs befor giving the go ahead. Again there is no money to replace this and will continuing to soldier on with this too  i have arranged to take it in at the end of the month as that is nearer to pay day - although there i no spare money but it just psychologically feels better
Overspent at food shopping again- i even edited the trolley before getting to the till removing the few treats there were. The only extra treat that made it through the cut was a 2 dine in for valentines offer but that was really good value and very tasty and i put back other items to compensate the cost as well. It must just be the cost of things - or i need to really look at making things to save more money - such as making my own muesli - does anyone else do this? any tips? there were no reduced priced items at all this week and only 1 or 2 last week - this seems to be the way things are going now which is also pushing my bill up
I am even considering making a special trip to the supermarket at the time the man on the butcher counter said they reduce the meat - the only problem will be if they don't reduce at that time / have any reduced items that i will use then it is a wasted journey altogether
I have had a terrible couple of nights sleep being ill Thursday night and still getting up very early for work and then last night i *think* i woke up with a migraine - not happened before but i may have been awake due to the terrible weather and then the migraine developed or as i say woke up with it. So i have not had too much sleep and am a little tired today with alot to do! I am just glad the comp is working and i have been able to ease myself back into the day
Plans for the weekend are:-
Assignment
Part 2 of 5 of wardrobe
washing
drying
moving washing
pot washing
Forgot to say as well - yesterday was very spendy. i got to work and my foot was wet  My walking shoes (i wear these for the journey to work and home again as i have to walk over a mile and stand on the train so need something comfy) had a hole in them - they cannot be repaired because 1) there is no good shoe repairer that i am aware of - i have wasted money in the past trying to find one and 2) the boots have a hard sort of rubber / plastic ? base and i am not sure that this is something that can be repaired.
When i was in debt i saved money by continuing to wear shoes with the heel completely worn down and with a hole in - it really damaged the heel on my foot and i will not do this again.
So i was pretty miffed but these had been a cheap pair of boots and i'd alraedy seen a replacement in the sale that i hadn't bought as they weren't needed at the time. I then put my work shoes on - which i leave at work rather than carry in every day - and these have a hole in them  they have lasted 2 years.
Cue a lunchtime dash to the shops and buying a replacement pair of walking shoes and a new pair of work shoes - both in the sale but cost me £65I do really *like* them which is good as they were a *need* and if i *have* to spend money i'd rather spend it on something i do also actually like. I still wore the holey ones home as my foot was sodden and i wasn't going to buy new tights just to be able to wear the new pair as i felt that would have been a waste and that my heel would survive the walk home
