    Hi all,

    Utility finished :T

As far as it can be - there are several boxes / tins of chocs to be eaten still  What to do...

And there are seeds and bulbs to plant as well - not today though, i may add that onto my list for after the assignment has been submitted

I've printed a couple of things needed for the parcels,

    Washed pots

    Moved some washing

And written a plan for assignment :D

After a bit of rubbish nights sleep i am a little tired today so trying to both take it easy and have a productive day too.

I shall try and fox it by whispering about a beautiful coastal drive...
And never, ever talk about replacing it while it's in earshot :D.

Hope it has a nice cheap drive to the coast next week ;).

Thanks GG - i can't afford to replace the car anyway and am thinking how much it would cost for me to be car- less - as in paying to get to all the places i go to in my car... The main thing with my car - or at least the 2 main things are -
1, the independence - the option to just jump in the car and go somewhere if i wanted to
2, work commute - i am looking for a new job, it is only this job where i've got the train to work so there is a strong possibility with a new job i'd need a car. Having to buy one if i didn't have this car would be costly. Then there is insurance - i'm not sure what happens to it if you've had say 15 years no claims and then stop being insured...

For now i just hope we can get it started again, and i hope that aspect of the problem is the battery rather than something dearer and then i hope the 3 other issues are not a huge expense either :o

  • Morning All,

    Strange night.

I've sorted out the letters this morning. have the parcels that i must do later. Priority today will be getting the car running.

I went through a section of shoes in my wardrobe yesterday and decided there were none to sell - then i gave myself a stern talking to :naughty: And have lifted out 2 pairs to sell and will be returning my beautiful bargainous new shoes for a refund - I decided i wanted to raise the £500 total more than i wanted to keep shoes not worn / hardly worn :T And then if i was parting with these really why buy more? I know the returned item can't go towards my total but once again it is items leaving the house :T Money not being spent :T Space being created :T (of a sorts, i have very little shoe room) :)

I have scribbled some words on paper for my assignment and have lots more to do **positive vibes please**

    Today i intend to:-

    crack on with the assignment
list items on bay of e and keep tally of £ for challenge
    Pack bay of e parcels
    print meal voucher
eat selected meal for today :)
lift out meal from freezer for tomorrow

If i achieve these things then this will be everything ticked off from my little weekend list as i finished the utility and the shoes are part of the bedroom declutter :D

I am going to do my usual structure of writing, mini-break popping in here, sorting out other items on my list :D

Hope its a nice Sunday for everyone :)

Love your colourful list. What is your dream?
Do you not have breakdown that could look at your car?
  • 1 parcel done, 2 to go.

    Bit of study done.

Thanks Alchemilla - i figure my list may as well be bright and cheerful so it doesn't look quite so daunting when i check it :D

My dream :o - notice how i didn't get *any* done last month - i think it is just too easy for things for ourselves to slip by the wayside / to the bottom of the pile etc. It sounds like an excuse but my study really does take a huge amount of my time - i *so* want to do well :o My dream is to write :D

Breakdown cover - we do have something but i don't think its for a callout to the home and even if it is the last time we called them out the premium was huge the following year  it just annoys me that you pay an amount for something and then when you need to use the service you have been paying for the price becomes astronomical. Fair do's i understand putting something in place to prevent having to go to the same car every week etc. but to my mind the amount that is paid v the amount of times its needed to be used it would actually be cheaper to just get a tow. I know it isn't all about that - some of it is the possibility of breaking down late at night and the reassurance of someone coming out to you etc. but i think alot of car costs now are becoming so prohibitive :(

So, if you were told you had to devote an additional 2 hours of study presumably you would find the time? So find your time for your dream. Why not set yourself a goal of X hours per week on your dream. Except that you MUST complete that before doing any studying. Starting from midday today :D.

    Go!

Thats impressive! Good for you :j I really like that.

I know how this is easy to happen, I really do - but thats what our lists are for! In fact, thats what impresses me most about being on here, in relation to any sort of list, that people refer back to it and check things out, not just about phone calls or forms or whatever, but this big stuff. I'm really bad at it :o

Lets do better! Gallygirl has a really good point.

    Hi GG,

Thanks thats kinda what i was hoping to achieve by putting it on my list, making it a non-negotiable priority and by sticking with it daily its then a habit too - maybe i just need to get up when the alarm goes off in the morning rather than eeking out the moments in bed until the last possible moment - actually just typing that and its a good idea :D I don't *like* getting up for work in the morning but maybe if i get up with the mindset of *need to be ready by 6.20am then i can 30 minutes doing something i enjoy before the drudgery starts :T + at that time of day i won't have my mr interrupting me ;) Bless him i think its a subconscious attention seeking thing and just ignore him when he *yawns* *coughs* *clears throat* *moves through house* etc. at an extra loud level when i'm trying to focus - i don't just think its extra loud - i mean seriously how loud does a yawn really need to be before its a shout :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will report back tomorrow :D

Thanks too KC - i agree i am really more accountable to the lists i pop on here - not everything always gets done but then i'm conscious of it and can address why etc. :D

Car. refusing. to. start. Grr! - discovered who the covers with and they'll be duly called next week - if they can't fix it i need to get it towed to the garage so it makes sense to get them out when the garage is open.

Battery for camera went. Now charged and pictures taken.

Another pair of shoes being parted with as well :T

A bit more study achieved too :T

And thanks to GG and KC - a new plan for writing has been formulated :T

Tea has been decided upon for tomorrow - reduced pre-done freezer meal fodder :T I like mine my Mr likes his and at 39p each instead of £2-£3 each then that will do fine :D and declutters the freezer a bit too :)

I have now thoroughly decluttered all shoes - i still don't own a single pair of black shoes  Oh well! Not to worry eh? :)

Off to update meal list for month and then study etc. :)
