I have a terrible head today so i think progress has been and will be slower than i would like :(

I have done the fridge though, and 2 shelves and moved 1 item off another shelf. I have 2 half done shelves to finish in the utility. I don't see anything here for selling as they have food on and kitchen equipment that we use and the cookery books i am keeping.

I have chased the stooze - i hope its here before month end but if not then it won't be long after.

I am going to follow Ed's advice and pay the minimum to the card and put the rest in savings - even if its only £1 or £2 extra earned it is no hassle for me doing it this way and its making something i wouldn't have made otherwise and making my money go further.

The car will need to go into the garage next week. Its not starting just now anyway and i can't drive with my head as it is either. I will ask them to fix 1 of the other jobs that need doing - the other 2 can wait i think. Hopefully this will mean less spent on shopping - i can only buy what i can carry home.

The weather here is very dark and gloomy today - i just want to stay snuggled up on the couch and my bad head gives me a good excuse to do just that - with my study books of course :D

Mini plan - complete next bit of study, make lunch, whilst making lunch work on 1 utility shelf :)

Ed's advice is about paying the minimum to a 0% interest card and putting the non-overpayment into savings? Quite right too :D you can't be an mfw and then overpay on a 0% credit card, the stooze police can be very active about that, you know :money::rotfl:

Not-unpacking-deliveries! Isn't it a pain! I've put "tidying" on my to-do list, and thats what I mean :o Fun to be alike tho!

I am going to soldier on with study but imagine i'll be heading back to bed after to see if i feel any better the 2nd time of getting up  Main thing is to get the study done. i also need to re-write my monthly budget - i almost miscalculated something as the item was in the wrong section  I have some ingredients to use up - 2 courgettes, 2 carrots & a butternut squash - any suggestions? I have both red and white (?) onions in, garlic, ginger, chillies lots of herbs no fresh toms but tinned ones and some potatoes left too...

Sorry you're feeling that bad, DD, I didn't realise :( I can't help with the recipe either - I just fry onions, throw in any veg I have, then either cashews, or a couple of types of beans, or quorn, a bit of pasta or some tatties on the side, and thats my lot - I don't *do* cookery :o:o:o I've never quite *got* it ... I'm lacking the cookery gene, I think ...

Hope you had a nice sleep xx

Hope you feel better now. I've got a butternut squash too, and no idea what to do with it!

Aw, sorry you're feeling poorly :(

As for the veg, I'd be either boiling it all up in a big pan with a stock cube and some herbs and calling it 'wholesome winter stew', or mixing it with oil and herbs and roasting it in the oven and having it with gravy :D Neither are too labour intensive :j

Hope you're feeling better soon, let go of the things on your list for today and concentrate on getting better x

Butternut squash soup? Fry onion with garlic til yummy. Add 1 tsp cinnamon. Add diced butternut squash, stir and cook for a few mins. I think you could add diced tatties too. Add water/stock and simmer for 30?mins. Mash up/zap/puree. Scrumptious.

oooh, add chillies or carrots too?

Ooh all delicious sounding recipes guys thank you :D

I am feeling much better than i was thank you :) But not up to cooking the food now but i will squeeze that in tomorrow :D

I think i will just slice an roast in the oven :) - i had thought about soup but i am trying to run the freezer down and as we've got other food planned i will do the soup at another time :D Especially now i've got a soup maker i have no excuses :D

This week will be easier teas i think - i've some fish in the freezer so fish and home made wedges and stuffed chicken thighs served with roasties will be on the menu plan for the weekend - it will use up some bits out of the freezer so all good and just potatoes needed on the shopping list as well as other weekly essentials :)

I think i'm going to try a new approach with the freezer which is just to eat out of 1 drawer until thats run down / empty and then move onto the next one ;) Easier than going through all the drawers to find 1 thing and there is quite a range of things in each drawer so this should definitely make it easier :)

Spent ages just before looking for a new stooze but there isn't any that seems worthwhile. I'm also pondering what room to tackle next on the great all house / all cupboard declutter. I've not finished the utility quite yet - but am down to just the 1 shelf to go :T

Am going to push on with the study - again it seems unrelated to the assignment question but i can't risk missing something vital - when i get to the end of this section i can then just focus on the assignment

I've started the list of things to pay for that i don't budget for and i *need* to re-write my monthly budget so everything is in the right section.

    Hope everyone is well :)

I hope I have uploaded the link for squash correctly or otherwise google Jamie Olivers ' save with Jamie' and look at the veg recipes.
I did the squash and spinach recipe(i didnt have any spinach so used sprouts!)It came out lovely. I would upload phots if i knew how!

@ldi have squash in their 49p range at the mo so it is worth getting some as Jamie Oliver has around 5 recipes for them.
