Hi jwil - i know those inch thick meat hacks well - its what my Mr does and poor thing gets quite upset when i explain i want him to carve it nice and thin - whoops :o I bet he's doing the best he can :o

I didn't know it was a bit of a skill slicing the meat thinly - i think it'll stem from us not having much when we were little so meat, cheese etc was sliced thinly to stretch it out so i was just used to it being that way and had to do it that way when i was old enough to do so :)

I've both done a fair bit today and not done enough too - back to the books in a mo. - i'll also try and get on with another shelf today then that'll feel like i've accomplished something.

Cookery books all sorted - i'm keeping 6 - slow cooker, soup, bread - have machines for all 3 :D 2 curry books and 1 tapas book  3 books listed for sale and the rest to the carboot - the one's i've kept are alot thinner / smaller than the ones going too so it feels like i've got rid of alot more :T

3 more items selected for the carboot as well as too big / heavy for it to be worthwhile listing due to postage costs.

Bay of e parcels were posted :T

    NSD :T

Sold more bay of e items - made an overpayment and awaiting the rest paying up

Had to open a NPB

Thinking of next months bay of e challenge means i'm thinking of selling some lovely shoes

I've cooked a meal with some meat i was given :T

Right, back to the books, hope everyone is well x

Oh, car not fixed - it was a very cold walk and added 2 hours onto my day - will be 3 hours tomorrow...

Lots of good work there, well done you! :j :j
  • Alchemilla - thanks for the positive spin on the walking :D I *do* enjoy walking to places and do that more than use the car its just when i really need the time more that its a problem.

Cheery - lovely to see you here - aw thanks - i think that because there is always such alot to do i never quite feel like i've done enough :o

    But..

if i really push myself and sort out 2 shelves, 2 half done shelves and the outside of the fridge tomorrow - then i will have decluttered the entire utility room :T:T:T And that'll feel like an achievement :D I'm already enjoying opening the cupboards and there being space and the things that are there being in the right place :)

  • A couple more payments came in so i made another overpayment :D

I've finished this section of study and am moving onto the next one.

I've half cleared one of the shelves.. decisions to be made on where things should go - they would be in a shed if we owned one *wistful*

I'd better get on - i need to get this study finished asap so i can start the assignment

You're doing really well on the decluttering! Things seem to build up as soon as I get a space clear, I have to say - though I'm recently very bad at unpacking deliveries completely, maybe its that. Anyway, the decluttering and the studying both, they sound brill.

Fab job again! What do you have on the *outside* of your fridge??? :D

We never had joints when I was a kid and cheese was always grated so I've never had to learn thin slicing skills. I also think my knives aren't sharp enough so that's probably part of the issue.

Gosh KC - we sound so alike in many ways :D - i too have been very lazy on completely emptying deliveries - i currently hve the wine kit sat in the wrong place - but i am trying to clear the utility room and make the space for it and thats my excuse ;) But i have a pair of shoes from an order still in th box in the bag and not tried on  - the rest of the stuff has been moved though :o I will try those shoes on today :D

I have cleared the outside of the fridge now jwil :D - it still has stuff on but its needed stuff - the magnets hold in place cards for places we need to keep hold of, dates for when things need to happen etc. :)
