Apocalypse! Multiple causes  Its all very well when they say to new writers, "write what you know", but I've been reading about the end of the world since I was 14, and stumbled across John Wyndham, then Christopher Priest, then Larry Niven :) so I know *lots* about the end of the world :D

Exciting stuff KC :D have you done any writing courses / read any books on writing ? :)

What age are you aiming at too chuck? :)

After a good start i didn't manage the last mini-target  I got the 200 words writing done which is the main thing :T But skipped the declutter and went to bed for an hour  I was so shattered - i woke up in the middle of the night feeling very sick - possible tummy issues possible stress over the car and pressure from family re. another issue. Anyway i feel much better after my hours rest. I'll get on now and do the toiletries bags :T then back on here and then the next 200 words and then the bag storage declutter..

i'm thinking of selling my record player... if i sell the record player then my record collection would be sold too - pointless having the records and nothing to play them on...
i haven't used the record player for a year. If we lived somewhere bigger and if i wasn't busy all the time with study etc. then i would use it - but is it really any use keeping something for years without using it / knowing when it will be used?

Have prepared a pasta dish for packed lunches this next couple of days so just waiting on that being ready and i'll get on with the toiletries - to be honest i think this will be a more of whats there and will i use it / carboot ? thing there won't be anything ebayable and i think that put me off earlier too - but its good to have everything sorted out and keeping only whats needed :)

Wow! Got the next 200 words down and toiletries bags are done with, as expected, nothing sellable but have lifted out some replacements of things and also realised how much more space i would have if i didn't have lots of body lotion! Will commence today with the use - ups! - i haven't bought these btw - all gifts.

Right feeling a little bleurghy again now - so probably tummy stuff although worrying can impact in odd ways.

bags lifted out for a sort through and a purse lifted out to sell.

Going to shower and use some lotion :D and then tea and then start the polishing - my 200 word sections were more or less 600 words after the first 200 so its almost written - lots of polishing needed mind!

Plus bags are now covering the bed so i'll need to re-dress the balance and go through, attach accessories and pop away / bay of e pile

It is an NSD - car will not be fixed today so i have not spent any money today :T And as yet the price hasn't altered so we will wait and see on that one.

Oh my, you don't sound well :( there does seem to be a gastric something or other going around - please don't push yourself if you're actually ill, as opposed to worried about something - you can make yourself *really* ill like that :(

The novel - adult audience, tho I'm sure teens would read if they're interested. I have a couple of voluntary consultants - they both love shooting, one of them's ex-army, the other's a smallholder, and they're really great at giving me feedback about who'd carry what when, that sort of thing

No courses (except an afternoon seminar in travel writing!) I *do* need to express myself more concisely :o:o:o and I'm also not very good at conversation, but I've realised how to do that - I "hear" the conversation in my head, so I just need to speak into a mic :rotfl: and transcribe. I was an audio secretary back in the day, so I know thats doable :rotfl:

Details of yours, please! As long as you feel okay :grouphug:

Thanks KC - i have had a shower, taken on some water and had tea so hoping tum will settle :)

I'm going to sort the bags out soon then at least when i want to go to bed i'll be able to get in it :)

And i'm going to get my work bag ready :)

And i'm going to work on my assignment some more :)

I am pleased with the decluttering i've achieved so far - some things have gone in the bin, some to carboot and 1 or 2 bits ebay and 1 or 2 bits given away but this has achieved a real visible space and just makes the places that have been done feel so much better :T

Wow to advice given both  and :T - yes conversations can be tricky i think too i will PM you hon when i get a bit more time on comp - my Mr is hollering for it now

It'd be good to natter about the writing, when we're both focussed on our own! One thing I've just found locally is a monthly writers group - have you heard of a website called meetup? You probably wouldn't have time, between work, life, study and partner :) but the writers groups are all over the place.

    Sleep well!

  • Hi All,

Where has the evening gone? I seem to have arrived home, made tea, chased the garage about the car, eaten tea, tried to do a bit of study, had the beginnings of a migraine and a niggling worry about some necessary paperwork that i couldn't locate. Papework niggle wouldn't go away so searched for that whilst headache grew. Managed to throw a whole carrier bag of no longer needed paperwork out  I would say most of it was my Mr's or joint but gah! to all that unnecessary paperwork weighing us down! I am glad it has gone :T Still couldn't find the 1 bit of paper needed - turns out because its not on paper - its on-line  :o At least it isn't lost :o

And the house feels better with all that paperwork gone. And i went through the 3 lots of post i got today and all dealt with and mostly thrown away too :T

In decluttering mode between yesterday and the headache i have:- re-organised bags - none to part with - the 1 i wanted to sell has had colour transfer onto it so looks like i have to keep it :( I will use but disappointing

I also cleared my hat boxes finding 1 scarf to sell - i'm keeping all my hats :D

And i cleared the 'dumping ground' area :T

I wanted to do the other surface area and my 2 underwear drawers - doubt there'll be anything in there to sell but its good to be thorough and sort things out too

Selling record player if i get the price i want :)

If i get the price i want i'll list my vinyl so i am not decluttering this section until i know if the player will sell or not. if it doesn't sell i'll go through my collection and see if i am keeping it all

Not counting the record collection i have got 9 sections of the room left to work on broken down into the 3 mentioned (drawers and surface) wardrobe broken down into 6 sections and then as i say just the records - seems like i've done alot of tidying / clearing but not too much stuff to sell etc.

I also realised i have *alot* of make-up - i have a drawer full of make-up + miniature perfumes. Most were free or very cheap at the carboot (perfume) I will not need any make-up except foundation for a good while. Its pointless throwing the make-up away and also silly to sell as would get pennies and it is stuff i will use - its just taking me a while to get to the using stage

Not enough study done today - headache didn't help and i managed to do the practical stuff of searching for paperwork but wouldn't have been able to concentrate on assignment.

Money front - car not good it means i need to pay for this on my card and try and clear the bill due end of the month. All moneys made will be paid to this and i will keep track as to what i owe back to the overpayments.

Anyone got any suggestions on raising money please? :D

Hope all are good - i will try and catch up with diaries tomorrow xx
