  • DDFW - you are doing amazingly well, I am HUGELY impressed with your mortgage overpayments :T.

Just wanted to let you know that I have finally set out my budget categories on my diary. Not sure how much use they'll be to you but hopefully they will be of interest.

I like your most recent to-do list, need to do a lot of those things myself, really must start getting more organised and set out a plan.

Meanwhile, will keep popping back for more inspiration :).

    hi all

i am very tired so will catch up with diaries another day - a very early night may be beckoning :o

At least today has been somewhat productive :)

i got a lift to the post office before it closed :T Saved my petrol

posted sold items and got together my bits of stamps which i used towards postage :T - this meant i had £5.48 to overpay card in sig with :D

cooked 2 meals and made extra - means we've got tea for today sorted and a portion to freeze and the same for tomorrows tea too :T

meal planned for next week :T

having set myself a target of clearing 5 items i cleared 12 both :T and  - i thought my decluttering had been pretty thorough :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - to be honest i've had such a big change of mindset that a few of the bits selected i had wanted to keep but i now just want things gone

listed said items on the bay of e :T

cleared out underbed storage so got an item ticked off my list :T

hope all are well and hope to catch up with you all when i've a bit more energy :o

    Hi all

Well saturday was an early night as predicted, it was always going to be as i was going to the carboot on sunday but due to exhaustion it was an extra early one :o

    Saturday was an NSD

Only spend of Sunday was £1:-

Sunday at the carboot i bought a new dress for work for £1 - it had the tag on but sadly that came off when it got stuck in the door  even so should easily make my money back should it not fit as it is a very good make that i can't normally afford

So sunday was an early start to the carboot although the weather was a bit unsettled. We did ok and cleared quite a bit of the stuff that we wanted to. I am hoping to do another next week and would be fairly happy if i made the same amount of money - really that would be very good to do as our unusual and bigger more expensive items went at this one. I used £100 of what i made as an overpayment - the rest was already earmarked for other things but of course has helped with those expenses too as that doesn't need to be found from elsewhere now. It was a good lesson in patience too - although i did grumble afterwards :o oh well!

Of course, with selling things there is not nearly as much to go back with next week but i think if i lower all the prices to sell then that is where it could help out quite a bit - eg put prices super low as we want things to go and any extra moneys will help ;)

Got home shattered on Sunday washed pots, made packed lunches for today and tomorrow, squirrelled all money made into various pots, washed pots again, made tea, baked a loaf as we were all out, sorted car out a little better as will have to fit more things in, ate tea, washed pots again and of course all were dried and put away each time. Packed bay of e parcels Curled up for a movie and a glass of wine with my Mr :happyhear

Today has been an NSD packed lunch taken to work, posted parcels - as postage was paid by buyer i don't count this as a spend as its not out of my money ;) overpayment made from bay of e sales, sorted more items to sell - all cheapy stuff for carbooty but is still stuff that will be gone from the house :T walked to station and back.

i will catch up with everyones news as soon as i can but am tired and really need to get bay of e stuff on today if i can - would've been done sooner but battert went on camera - hope all are well xx

p&f i read the budget list on my phone and far too fiddly to reply but i jotted down ideas - thank you :)

jwil joined 1 of the survey sites & will aim to try more in the next few days xx

  • Amazing work, DDFW - you had a busy Sunday! I may have spent most of Sunday on the sofa :o.

Having said that, I have been deliberately taking it easy for a while in lieu of a proper holiday :).

You made great money at the car boot sale - well done. DD1 is keen to do a car boot with me before she goes back to uni so hopefully will get that done sometime in the next few weeks. I'd be happy with 50 quid profit to be honest, as long as I get shut of some junk.

You seem to do a lot of washing up - do you not have a dishwasher :D?

Well done on the car boot sales and the overpayment! That's a great amount to have made :)
