Hello All,
I didn't get back on here yesterday - i somehow lost track of time and ended up having breakfast at 3.40pm yesterday!
Weather has been too poor for getting good light for my bay of e items but i will do my best with them tomorrow - up early for an appointment
Not sure if its the start of a new year feeling - which i get due to term starting so a new academic year or whether its just getting my mortgage statement that has spurred me on a bitBut i've decided to chip at least £1 a day at the mortgage - to keep me in the habit and the mind focused
And for the extra long statement i'll get next year :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
This prompted me to think about what i've achieved this year and what i want to achieve next year. I've set next years overpayment target and broken it down into where the money will come from :T
Not considered other goals yet - there will of course be home improvements, home maintenance - yes those pesky gutters, health - which ailment shall i target to be fixed next? :rotfl: fitness - do i want to increase running distance to a marathon? uni, college and music as well as of course happiness, fun and adventures- No wonder i've not considered them  such alot to think about :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But all good and good to think about rather than just hope things will happen
Today i found a token on the floor that will save me some money on something i need to buy next week - saving £1.64 i thinkand i found 2p - not at the same time :rotfl: It wasn't an nsd as i bought a birthday present but it was a necessary spend which is good
Travel was all walking and public transport for which i buy a pass in advance to save money
I used some more of my miniature perfume and body cream that i am targeting this week for use ups
All phone calls were made in budget on my contract
Packed lunch taken and eatenCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi DDFW
Just wanted to pop in and say hello and gasp with admiration as usual at all that you manage to get done. :T
Surely at some point you are going to run out of things to declutter? Not something that's likely to happen to me any time soon. :rotfl:
I am giggling at the thought of your very long mortgage statement, that's going to be so funny.0 -

This just made me giggle :rotfl: :rotfl: That is *so* much what I'm like - a million things I want to do and trying to do too many of them all at once :rotfl:
But do you want to increase running distance to a marathon? Speaking as someone who has to do a marathon in six days time  I'd say no. No you do not. Absolutely no way.
(Ask me again Monday - I'll be sore but full of endorphins and holding a shiny medal and say exactly the opposite) :rotfl:
I love September too, new school feelingAlways good for a nice plotting and scheming session

Hi p&f - i know i think the same thing about decluttering - that there must be a point when it comes to an end? - i think i actually thought this last year but there is always something to sort out as i'll never be minimalist
Hi Cheery - i think i know the marathon you're doingI know, i am only reconsidering pushing to this level as a friend doing it has not enjoyed the training - to the extent that has affected their overall enjoyment of running. Still it will be a new goal to aim for and something ticked off my list of longtime wants so i think thats a really easy decision - i will do a marathon
it is the thought of that shiney medal at the end
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well done by the way for all the training you have been doing - you are ready for this race now :T Nice to see you a fellow September plotter and planner too

Well i had my appointment this morning - a wee bit frustrating but its done and not for me to worry about it.
Pots were up to date last night.
Screened out of more surveys than i've completed - isn't that so often the way
3 items listed bay of e :T *fingers crossed* for sales
Meant to say yesterday that i'd decided to wait on the new instrument and order a new gate instead. Then saw the ad for trading in the old vacuum cleaner - will be taking advantage of that i think instead - i'll need to put considerably more towards this though but its a good offer and the benefit will be tangible in the home which is where we'll see the difference - of course the gate will make a big difference too when its done.
Now to get some papers in order - been putting it off and head isn't in the right place at the mo. but i will plod on.
Whoops made my £1 payment today too - it is helping, getting me back into the habit of checking daily and being focused on the small gainsCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Laughed at the extra long statement. You must manage your mortgage on line - I have to call to make an overpayment. The stress of calling would outweigh £1 being paid each timeMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Hey Watty - i can pay on-line but can't view it on-line sadly xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
You could totally do a marathon DDFW, I'm finishing a half marathon on Sunday and barely even trained this time0

Hello all,
I have been meaning to post since getting home from work and have been distracted and sorting out one thing and another before finally getting here
rant alert - skip and go toif you want to
I will get the bad out of the way first up and then move onto better things. Absolutely awful day in workRight at the start of the day spoken to horribly by manager - annoyed at myself as i think i read somewhere about things like this happening as you allow them to? or some such. I was utterly shocked as it was so unexpected. Was so hard to keep myself superglued in work all day
:(:( And yes, it was utterly uncalled for. I did learn they had a bad start to their morning before this... Ed if you are around i know you will understand.
Felt rotten in work all day because of it - and because of other RL things going on perhaps magnifying the situation? Obviously not looking forward to tomorrow morning at all either now. BUT have been thinking is there any way i can turn this around?
1) try and put in place a response mechanism in this situation - part of why i kicked myself afterwards is that i didn't do this but its hard to do when something comes at you left field like thatOr maybe someone else has some tips?
2) am sure i wouldn't anyway - but never speak to anyone in that rude manner
3) work my socks off - i do anyway but notch it up a bit - show them how valuable an asset i am
4) Find a new job
Ok so a bit to do there.
Right onto better things
Loft savings fully in place. Money currently in shuffledom but gutter money will be in place soon too :T
New savings account set up for next household maintenance target
Spent some money in my lunch - isbecause it was all planned spending and all purchased at less than half price :T New skirt, top, necklace and bracelet all bought for a christening i am going to - waiting for a wedding invite too and it will do for that. It is a classic outfit so will look stunning in a number of years too
Didn't get the retail therapy feeling though - was still upset from the morning
Decided to increase pension savings so will sort that out when i can get through on the phone.
Started new language class - a bit daunting but exciting too
Food spends kept low.
Horrid day emphasized the importance of MSE to pay off the mortgage and keep choices open. After deciding on next years overpayment target i am now looking to pay off the mortgage in 7 years maximum from 1st january 2015
going to watch a bit of tv to try and unwind a bit more  its been a very hard and emotional week with RL stuff as i said so its all getting to me a bit just now. Thankfully i have 2 full days off together next weekend and i think those 2 days together will help just to properly wind down a bit and also just for the break from work too xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
