Excellent work there lass! :j :j
And how very vexing to be let down in that way, and yes, grrrrrr to pointless landfill. I think people sometimes chuck stuff because they don't know what else to do with it, but if they know someone is ready and willing to take it then there's really no excuse, is there??
Anyway, I have been encouraged and inspired by your decluttering lately and am currently in the middle of clearing out under the kitchen sink  We have a stovetop kettle that takes FOREVER to boil (or is that just me usually being desperate for a cuppa?? :rotfl: ) Anyway, I read a flylady tweet thing earlier about today's 15 minute mission being to clean under the sink, so I figured I'd do it.
15 minutes in and I'm stopping for a rest! Kitchen floor is covered in carrier bags, dog poo bags (we don't even have a dog!), an entire carrier bag full of rubber gloves (why? I never use them!), ancient and manky dusters, 3 different types of tea bags, empty packets, loose batteries - and incidentally, just HOW do people get their dusters and washing up cloths not to go grey in the wash?!
(oops, sorry for taking over your thread, what I was actually going to say was how pleased I was that I'd done a car boot sale and actually took a bag of books and another of clothes to the charity shop today! :j )0 -
Ok, Just frozen some meat - still a few days in date but i seemed to have got confuzzled on dates and thought it was next week  Still all securely packaged and in the freezer now - which is full again
Also put a few tins and jars in a bag - this is to give to a family member who is struggling a bit so should be a good help to them
Printing off uni stuff right now
last load of washing is drying *but* i have a washing basket full of handwashing - thinking i need to get my Mr to read the label before making any purchases in future
Oh and i nearly forgot my news - nothing too thrilling but i was asked again about my birthday and thanks to you all i asked for either a day out or perfume. Unfortunately we aren't doing the day outbut to be honest between now and the end of the year we have 4 weekend aways / nights away planned as well as other things which we will go out to and come back. I *did* say we could wait until next year but it just wasn't agreeable. This left the perfume *but* i had asked for a perfume i love
but my Mr very much dislikes it (he is the only 1 and it is a true favourite of mine) so he then asked was there anything else. So i will be off to the jewellers to try on a few pieces - the sad thing is the 1 item i've had my heart set on is just too dear - i hadn't realised the price until i checked and :eek::eek: So if i can find the time i'll try on some jewellery and choose something - if not not to worry
there is no rush and to be honest i am just so busy this next couple of weeks i do not think i'll find the time.

Lovely to hear from you Cheery and it is always jolly to read one of your posts
Sounds like you are having a well earned rest
:T to the carboot and charity shopping of 'stuff'
Hope you enjoyed the carboot?
Ok, if we're sharing under-sink news - my dusters, window cloths etc. probably don't go grey in the wash as they're not used enough to:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Under-sink space for us is not too big and is designated cleaning products and cloths and rubber gloves - i have very dry skin and use these when washing pots, i have thinner ones i use when cleaning windows and others for when using quite harsh cleaning products - just about never really! I have lots of cleaning products and i am guessing some have barely been used
But i don't like to be wasteful so we are plodding on with what we have
We too have a cheery, whistly bright red stove top kettle - we have a plug-in one also due to my Mr being very frustrated over waiting so long for a cuppa :coffee:
I will honestly say i think the under-sink space for me is the one that takes the longest to sort out so i am ignoring it until at least 1 bottle is finished in there - so maybe 10 years or so then? :rotfl:
I enjoy decluttering as i like the sense of 'lightness' it gives me & have how much easier it is to store things properly and get to them easily.
You have reminded me i have designated a jacket to the declutter pile - it is now too big  I will pop over to yours for other newsCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Morning all!
I hope everyone is well - i cannot believe it has been over a week since i posted but i have been very busy - some of it good - going to events, making memories and some of it not so good.
Today I have had to take a day off work for one of those appointments where you need to wait in all day for them to come out  They will only come out in the week and cannot give a time of day so a days holiday feels quite wasted really but no way around it. I do have *alot* of stuff to do at home too - some of it will be possible and some won't. I've been up an hour just in preparing the house for the visit. Stuff is everywhere that it usually isn't so there will be alot of re-organisation needed after they have been out too.
I have been screened out of several surveys this morning.
Next stop: banking.
Think i'll do 1 task at a time and then pop back on here - it is after all a day offCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
