Well today has been the proof of why i don't like appointments on a Saturday morning - they swallow up most of the day
Still it is done now and would have been more awkward to fit in at a different time / day. So that is 1 thing out of the way. I had also had an appointment last night at the doctors which meant getting in over 2 hours after i finished work - so it had just felt like a long row of appointments. But necessary and done for now so that is good.
Today i have: - tried on the new clothes i got - 3 new work dresses, 2 t-shirts, 2 pairs of jeans. Moneysaving in a way as i had a conversation yesterday about returning items and 1 friend piped up that they can't be bothered returning things and so throw the items away instead :eek: and the other friend agreed about not being bothered to return any clothing that wasn't right and instead wore it as a housework outfit or gardeining outfit :eek::eek:
I am keeping the 1 pair of jeans which were the cheapest :T £12.99  and a very good make too - the other pair were too big. And i am keeping 1 dress also £12.99. I have now got 6 outfits for work. I maybe just need a pair of thicker winter trousers and i definitely need some new winter tights. I have bagged up the other items ready to return for a refund Monday
I've stripped 1 of the cooked chickens i bought and made stock and schmaltz - or it will once its cooled. Once again no waste & i used the carrots i froze last week for this (or 1/2 of them as the other 1/2 i'll use with the other chicken tomorrow.
I've been cooking all day and have put 4 portions of lasagne into the freezer, have 2 portions of casserole cooling, marinated and cooked chicken pieces - again will make stock from the bones once strippedand am awaiting the final new to me recipe - another type of casserole finishing off - just awaiting the sauce thickening
- that will be put into 3 portions
i've also lifted out some shoes to sort out - and am now too tired to sort them:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Instead a glass of wine has been poured
I also wore a top today that i have been umming & ahing about & have decided no i don't love it - it'll go onto the carboot pile instead  - i've had it a few years and had plenty of wear out of it.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

You could just ask?!!
And maybe split the proceeds.. It would make them think about waste if they realised that you could earn from it..obvs best thing is to take it back..or not buy in the first place tho :rotfl:

Oh brizzle - i had actually deleted a lengthyish reply to CheeryI have been let down by friends and close family members on things they promised to give me when i was struggling following redundancy - and consistently until now. They have then either thrown the things away or given them away elsewhere. Particularly shocking was seeing a perfectly good piece of furniture being destroyed so that it would be small enough to fit in the car for the tip. It used to really annoy me  Not just me being let down but the pointless landfill  I am still offered things by these people - even just this last week, i now just smile and say 'oh that would be wonderful thank-you' or some such and leave it at that. I no longer get my hopes up as i know nothing will materialize. I get other people commentling on how nice it is to have people helping me like this - if the offers are made in front of others. Again all i can do is smile. Just so you know this isn't all one way
an example is that i have in the past given 1 of these people computer software worth over £100.
All i can do is think about how i am with people, i am very careful about not making empty promises and gestures and have gone out of my way to help others - helping a very good friend move house by myself when they were re-locating to another town and couldn't drive and weren't hiring a vehicle  I did, as i say, used to get very annoyed about being offered help so much and not getting any:(:o which is why i don't let it bother me now - it isn't good for me to be upset over things i can't change.
