Thank you KC :D The run had to be cut short to 3.5miles as i was asked to go on a 3 mile walk with my Mr so had to get back in time for that. Got to make the effort for my Mr after all :D

    Fantastic to hear from you!

Well done on the degree, the MA, all the money saving; really sorry to hear about your poor health and poorly relative.

Really hope that things are getting better for you, and I look forward to hearing more exciting updates :) x

  • It is lovely to have you back - I have missed you. And your lists!

Sorry to hear your health has been poor and hope you are able to keep well.

My house move is really progressing and I may be moving soon. I will be able to join you as a MFW. And I also need to get back into running and being generally more fit. I have let my fitness go over the last couple of months and once I have got moved and sorted out, I definitely need to get back to it. I'm not brave enough for a half marathon yet; will just stick to 5k and maybe 10k for now.

Delighted to hear you got the degree class that you wanted. Much deserved. Out of interest, how long is the MA course?

    Have a great week x

    Chocs!!! :D

Aw thanks - i'm not well yet but i am better than i was - we should be virtual running buddies :D

Great news re. your new house - i know it is something you have tried for for so long and i am so pleased its working out for you - hope you'll start a thread :)

I am taking the MA part-time for 2 years - but wow! There is alot of work  - not started as yet but have a huge reading list for module 1.

Don't worry i will be posting lists again soon - although i also carry around a book with a looooong list in it of many things i need to do

    Hey Cheery,

I just replied and the post disappeared

Yes all fun things :D and i will PM you - a wee bit anxious about being identified in RL :o

I am doing all i can for my health re. food intake, drink and exercise and continue to go for the appointments / checks with the doc. I do get days still when i am floored and really struggle to move but from experience i know these days will pass :)

  • Hello all :D

Well the cooking has continued apace although the freezer remains alarmingly full  It'll be so much better and more useful when i can have at least 1 full drawer of batch cooked meals :) Meals cooked this week have been for pack-ups and evening meals and have been much enjoyed. And i do so enjoy grabbing the ingredients from the cupboards / fridge etc. and making something tasty :) and of course cheap ;)

    Money news:-

must look into the delayed / cancelled flight thing - i guess i just look on here?

Went to the budget shops for the *needed* things :)

    Packed lunch as usual

Walked to the station and back as usual saving petrol :)

Ok tis late and i am tired so will update again soon :) Hope all are well and i am still trying to pop in on you all :)

Oh has anyone got an idea / recipe for potatoes that have gone past their best? :)

  • Hey :)

Potato and leek soup? Or maybe colcannon, or just blitz with onion / seasoning and make potato cakes (with or without a breadcrumb coating?)

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Thanks guys I guess I was hoping to make something I could freeze. We will see its an odd late shift in work for me today & I won't have much time when I get home. I'm also making a lasagne either today or tomorrow - if I run out of pasta sheets I might just pop a layer of sliced potato on top :o

So a bit of life admin this morning & I've followed up on some things that were running out if time so that feels good. I'm going to have a busy weekend lined up as I want to have a good rummage through myY shoes & check for bay able goods. I need to do my tax return - so its not hanging over me when I start uni and i have had to change an appointment to this weekend too. I'll also be running, practicing my music & language as well as more cooking from stores. Hope everyone is well. Apologies for any phone typos
