Day out here too :j.
Or, if you do want something more 'practical' - trainers - if they are worn out they are a 'must' - it's bad to run in worn out shoes.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I vote for a day out - or perfume - it's *technically* an indulgence (although I class it a necessity. along with mascara and eyeliner lol!)
If people get truly stuck, amazon vouchers? - can use for books that way x
ps: I'd've done the same as you in bagging the bargains and then playing freezer tetris if necessary!xx

Yep, a day out, or perfume
Interesting about the programme of running acting like a silent trainer too, I like the sound of that!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks for the input guys - i was wanting something 'treat' like but it seemed such an indulgence when i have so many 'needs'
INOD - you've hit the nail on the head - the jewellery is not something i'd buy myself but is something i'd love - only wanted it for ooh 17 years now - so yes a timeless classic
Brizzle, muppets, KC, GG - i think, if i get asked again, i'll ask for either a day out or the jewellery and that way its a surprise still
GG - with the trainers they aren't worn out as such but i could do with some better ones and ready for when these have paid their dues. What i *could* do with the trainers is buy them with the money i will get off family which may total £40 - £50 - based on the number of people who usually give me something.
Hope none of this makes it sound like i expect anythingi guess just practically speaking just like i'll always treat some people on their birthdays then some people always do the same for me.
greent, so glad we are on the same page with perfume being a needI could add that into the mix of: day out, jewellery or perfume
I do have a few older people buying for me and they just give me money so i can treat myself to something i want - in their words - so books / trainers both practical
Freezer tetris - thats just what i call it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - although i shouldn't be playing it anymore as i attempt to reduce the contents of said freezer!
Feel better now on what i could ask for, if i am asked again mind - we will see :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

I'm with you on seeing perfume as an essential. I did try to give it up while money saving but probably spent more on cheap treats to cheer myself up as I felt so miserable without a spray to lift my mood.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I'd personally ask for either some perfume or a day outBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Thanks again all - KC yes a good mix there with what i *could* get from different people, we shall await and see what the day brings! But *if* i am asked then i am ready
INOD - i am totally with you i love the way a scent has a positive affect on my mood as i often associate my favourite perfumes with places i've worn it etc.
SF - yes i will do although as the main gift would be off my Mr i know he wouldn't buy me just a perfume (we don't buy each other anything at any other time really even xmas so this is why we make an extra big effort for our birthdays). The worry would be that he'd then go out and spend quite a bit of money on something else. The piece of jewellery would fit the bill a bit more that way. *but* he's not asked again... and... he has free days to himself to hit the shops  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Ah well he has good taste - but i am a bit more of a bargain hunter - i actually like getting something that i want and getting at a good price too:rotfl:
