Well the boiler is fixed but I am £550 poorer :eek::eek:
    Not a happy chappy :(

Work is bonkers this week and I'm shattered but hey ho, its Wednesday tomorrow and on the down hill slope to the weekend.
I let my hair go all curly yesterday and helped it along a bit with the tongs and Fling thought it was fab! Looked ok I suppose but its harder work to make it look respectable and not "wild woman" than just straightening it.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Food has been quite good so far this week - cooked on the weekend again for Monday and have tonight's tea planned - channa dahl and peshwari naan (courtesy of Sainsbobs!).

My roots need doing again ( a never ending battle) and so I'll make the effort to do them tomorrow evening, off out for a while later.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Ouch!!!!. Unfortunately it's just one of those things we have to find the money for when it happens.

Well today was physiotherapy - apparently my muscles are full of lumps and bumps again……"Feels like gristle" is how she put's it. :o

However, she did say that if I can manage to keep up with the pilates this should help me.

The good news is I've lost 2:rotfl: It's a start.

WW that's horrendous- what a cr*p spending of money but I guess we're grateful to be warm and dry inside from the cold.

Piratey- hope the work went ok! Let me know how you get on with the OPI I've been considering that one!

I'm quite shattered but have done gym twice this week and been saintly with eating except for a few malteasers tonight!

Currently painting my nails and catching up on some telly in front of the fire. :)

  • Lizzie - could your flare up be either diet or stress related.

    I can't actually pinpoint anything , maybe I should keep a food diary ?

I'm pleased to say my legs feel a lot better now. I had to resort to cortisone a couple of weeks ago but since using oatmeal in the bath my skin feels a lot better.

As well as adding it to the water, whilst I'm in the bath I also squeeze the oatmeal until it gets all gloopy and then massage the gloop into my legs whilst still in the bath. Sounds a bit yucky but it seems to be working.

I was doing this but ran out of oats.:o Have bought some more today and dried milk as it did seem to help. Have also bought a skin supplement to take- anything's worth a try.

I have also drastically reduced my wheat intake - don't know whether this is signficant or not but I can be wheat intolerant at times. Not sure if it affects my skin or not but my tummy is much happier without it.

I know this sounds a bit odd but I read somewhere that bathing every single day can also exacerbate excema type skin conditions.

It doesn't sound odd at all to me LLI stopped bathing every day a few years ago as it dried my skin out too much and I do find at this time of year I'm a bit too tempted to have the water hotter than i should.:o

I am currently trying to bathe every other day as a trial. I do of course make sure I have a proper wash on non bath days. :rotfl:

Right off to get some sleep - another busy day tomorrow.

PS - I will post up the wheat free biscuit recipes when I've tweaked them. I just haven't got round to baking again.

Nipped to Boots earlier for the sale picked a few bits up for birthdays etc through the coming year. I was a bit disgusted though tbh at the amount some people were getting. They were stood amongst mountains of bags. I really think Boots would do well to limit the amount people can buy, the shelves were stripped by 9.30am.

Got a groupon deal for some OPI polishes - treated myself with xmas money. Have been told they're really good so we'll see.

Have decided to put any plans for going forward with business until I'm feeling a bit better. I need to give it as much attention as possible and atm I can't do that.

    Keep up the fabbing x

  • Ah Piratey, I too am very pleased when the gym is nice and quiet! Mind you, my OH hates going early so we're never usually there before 8pm. By then the cardio machines are quiet and the weights machines aren't too bad, it's just the free weights section that is full of sweaty men.....

WelshWoofer - have you tried looking for Brazilian keratin treatment vouchers? My hair is crap and wavy, but it now looks at least presentable thanks to that; you can often get the treatment and a haircut for around £60. Sorry to hear about your boiler, I imagine you could really have done without that just after Christmas!

Teacher - Maltesers, mmmm :D I've been to play badminton this evening and did gym yesterday. I'm also doing a Leslie Sansone DVD whenever I can. Was very pleased to find this morning that I've lost 3lb in the last week, making a total of 5lb this year - yay! Only 19lb left to go
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

    Fab Frday Today!!!!

However, today I'm feeling less than Fab…..

As the title suggests today I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself….

Yesterday I had to have a tooth removed, it was beyond saving. :(
Yesterday was grim, feel a bit better today but my face is swollen and bruised. Hey ho. Such is life.

At least it was a very back tooth. However, it has strengthened my resolve to get some serious dental work done this year. The money is sat there in the bank I just need to pluck up the courage……

I had intended to get the work done in Spain but then OH became ill and my needs just languished on the back burner. I think the times has come to start thinking about my own health needs - I really need to get my teeth sorted out this year.

Other than that, not much news. Pilates this morning and a little bit of shopping. I need a new hoover. Oh the glamour of it all.:rotfl:

I have rather skipped fabbing this Friday so far, OH mooted a very last minute change of plan, so skipped (well as skippy as I can get at the moment:() with him sans hair wash, expecting a quick dash to the market on the way back. While we were out it rained and minus a hat or hood I then looked like a drowned rat, he wanted a few things in town and then we stopped for a coffee and scones in lieu of lunch, so have written today off in that respect, I am clean and tidy, but certainly have looked better:eek:

I've done my fabbing today so I'm keeping up our tradition!

I have to say that my preferred daytime make-up which is a tiny bit of primer on my nose and some blusher plus eyes and lips isn't enough at the moment. I look so pale and pasty, roll on summer!

Good news is I found a stretchy hairband so maybe tomorrow I'll do some make-up experimenting.

Question: We have an Evening Invitation to nephew's wedding next month in a rather pretentious hotel (the website tells me the room sizes in meters:rotfl:). I could treat myself to something new to wear and feel I should make an effort. Ideas? What would you think would be suitable?

I hope you're feeling better LLI hate going to the dentist so can identify with you entirely. It hasn't been helped by ending up in hospital once due to an infected wisdom tooth. :([/COLOR]

I like those illusion dresses some of them are midi length and look very elegant.

I've woken up with that nervous stomach feeling this morning so perhaps you were right LL maybe I am stressed but I don't know why. :(

Have made myself some whipped coconut and shea cream and put it in a pot to carry around with me when I'm out and about as though the hydrocortisone has calmed the redness my skin is still very dry. First time I've done this and am v. pleased wihtt he result and for v. little cost.

Really need a haircut too so will be making an appt soon- haven't had it cut for 6 mths :0 but as it's quite long it isn't too noticable.

Awful day here so looks like I'll end up looking like you did yesterday Maddiemay as I have to walk the dog later.

Have a :good weekend all. :)

Well I am loving the new mummy weight loss :D I have shifted 2 and a half stone in the last two weeks through sitting really still and I am now only 3lbs off my pre pregnancy weight :j

However soon the real work will begin :( in around 4 weeks time I will really have to make the effort to shift the 3 extra stone that has creeped on over the last few years :o

I have been keeping up the fabbing and have faced most days with makeup and smart attire, however I have hit a stumbling block. Currently the maternity clothes I have are too big and normal clothes in my size do not come close to fitting round my still swollen stomach :o so I am limited in my clothing choices and may have to resort to a few days of joggies and t shirts.

The healthy eating is mainly working well and I have greatly reduced the amount of rubbish that I consume and I now eat loads of fruit, nuts and seeds :D I will need to tweak things in the future as they are high in fats and sugars but for the moment they are healthier options than cake and chocolate.
