Just curious
Because i know boys sometimes get treated better
Interesting that you ask as my family is the same, my Mum favours me and my brother over my sisters, always has done. We aren't Indian/Pakistani either.
I do have a favourite but that's okay as she is an only child!0 -
All different, all individual. At times they each need more attention and input. It does seem to even out though !I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I have a favourite 12 year old, a favourite 9 year old, a favourite 8 year old and a favourite 6 year old
.
Like others have said, I like particular traits that they all have. They all amaze me every day, not always for good reasons mind.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
I think a fair few women prefer boys over girls, my mil for one she once told my sister that she would never love her daughters as much as her sons, she ignored my daughter until she was 1 yr old, but was waithing for visiting time on the day my son was born.
I find that sad and no we are not Indian/Pakistani either, but she was from the midlands and that is where iv'e noticed itTreat other's how you like to be treated.
Harry born 23/09/2008
New baby grandson, Louie born 28/06/2012,
Proud nanny to two beautiful boys :j
And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better
UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted0 -
Yes, however my answer will depend on who is being the least annoying when you ask me.0

Oh Yes I do! - it's the boy round the corner :rotfl:
Seriously, no they are all my favourites, for very different reasons. But as someone else said, sometimes I like one more than the others (they are and always will be loved equally).
It is extremely hard to be seen as "fair" though, as they are all very different in both personalities and outlook.
My mum always said she treated us all the same, however, she never really did. My brother always got more freedom, money, leeway than any of the four of us girls (we are all older). But I do think I was slightly favoured by my Dad (I am the youngest girl), only because I learnt to not argue with him, but to rationalise.
If any parent has worked out the magic formula for perfect parenting I would love to be let in on it0 -

A favourite one to laugh and joke with, a favourite one to talk to other people about, a favourite one who is just like me. They are all my favourite.0

Yes...The one who is being well mannered and behaved...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Of course I have favourites & that is usually whichever child has brought me my most recent cup of tea.
However, on paper there are no favourites - the Will chops the estate three ways.
There will be Some Unfairness as Eldest will get the family Bear & apparently some family broach (likely expensive & vile as I've never seen it although technically it's ''mine"...) but that's purely an accident of birth, his & mine. (Suggestions to get past this welcome.)0
