Beat you to the OnePoll payout Pearla - but only just! Mr. P needs a good talking to leaving scratch cards lying around like that! Have a lovely day.
Tell me about it, one was almost lost under the sofa!

I'm racing you to the next payout, mouche... I'll win one day! :rotfl:

It's so true though, decluttering is like painting the Forth Bridge - it never ends!
Tell me about it, I've just managed to dispense with a whole vacuum packed bag of clothes now. Surely this has to stop sometime?!

Thanks apple muncher & newgirly :D

Good job news so far - am going in for a trial run next week :j :j :j

Mr M should hear more about his at the end of next week. :)

Life's just been trundling along, more clothes divvied up into charity bags and selling piles.

Had a lovely pasta bake the other day, just simmered up some chopped tomatoes, a little brown sugar, herbs and saut!ed onions and popped it in the oven with some cheese and tabasco et voilà! Super cheap and really yummy. Could have done with courgette, but there's nothing but carrots in the fridge for some reason.

Mr M nipped to Tesko to get his syrup water (fizzy drinks :p) and also got me some rice dream which was on offer, hurrah! I'm stocked up for about 3 months now. He also picked me up some oats, so I can get back on the muesli train. :D

Am getting slightly better at switching off and doing some decent reading. I've been a bit useless at reading novels lately but I've finally sunk my teeth into a new one... now to just get through the huge pile that's been waiting on my bookshelves for an age.

:www: MFW Wonderment: Mr M donated his coppers to the kittybank - 15p, good times. Some surveys done, lots of cheap meals have been had lately, using up all my lotions & potions instead of buying anything new, worked ;) and did some more prep work for potential new job.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: saw peregrine falcons out hunting today. Heard greenfinches singing outside the house but still haven't seen them yet... which is why I'm getting my eyesight tested tomorrow. :rotfl:

:heartsmil Burrow Building: bonded while watching the most amazing storm. We flung the doors open while making dinner, the rain thundered down, lightning crackled and we had summery BBQ food and ice cream. I felt like I was on holiday. :rotfl:

Not much to report today, sorted through a mountain of paperwork (half of it is being shredded, begone paper clutter!).

Need to find out if Mr M can download the instruction booklets we have so I can bin them, some of them are ridiculously huge - I never set out to own an instruction manual library.

Eyes tested - my prescription's changed quite a bit so definitely time for new glasses.

Got another use out of the cinema card (Noah - it was rather daft). :j

Shall try and catch up with surveys tomorrow, methinks

We are also owners of a huge instruction manual library, I bet half of the things we don't even own any more! I thinki'll give dh the task of sorting that lot out :D It's a good idea to try and download them, though if you want to sell the item in the future the instructions might come in handy then.

I love the sound of your stormy barbecue picnic...you and mr P*M sound very romantic ;)

Well bit of a mammoth catch up there P*M, you have been busy! A few things I picked up on ...

:p "wabbit" I use this one a lot but Mr Hbbb had never heard of it (maybe because he's originally from Gravesend). I was even given a desk-top jokey mood thing to show visitors to your office how you're feeling but "wabbit" wasn't on there so I wrote it on a postit (with suitable pencil drawn visual) and stuck it on lesser used American mood "postal"!

:o Another Rice Dream girl eh? Horribly expensive normally but luckily I manage to make it go quite far!

:T So is this the trial week now? So glad they've noticed the excellent opportunity they have to employ a complete wonderment ... hope ears are behaving and all goes well! Fingers and toes crossed (hence typos probably). Will you still get to go to that other interview too? Great to have options!

;) Good luck too for Mr P*M in his quest too!

In context of the last two ... I noticed the word relocation pop up! Is that if Mr P*M gets his job? Does that have implications for your current trial opportunity? Lots to think about in all that! Hope all's good!

:T excellent decluttering and the LBM ... Donating clothes and clutter to the charity is as good as a fiscal donation anytime!

Hope you have a great day / trial! X

Helloooo! Just rushing on to show my face for five minutes. Yes, Hbbb, I'm on the trial week. Has gone super well so far, though it's been busy, busy, busy! My sleep's been all over the place as well, I guess I've been a bit jumpy about it, plus the house has been insanely warm the last few nights which hasn't helped (have liberated the summer duvet, hopefully tonight will be better. But anyway, job-wise, have had loads of ideas and seem to have mastered some of the odds & ends I wasn't sure of so Go Me! :D

Will update properly asap, Friday probably. Found more silver coinage on the street, and even some coppers, huzzah!

PS. Hbbb, relocation would be for Mr M's job (still not heard any updates yet). But yes, would probably mean my job wouldn't be able to continue (although there's a lot I could do remotely and potentially travel back up for, but not sure if that'd work for the company... would have to cross that bridge if we ever come to it).

Although I'm loving the work, I really can't wait for a day of sofa lazing on Friday! I thought I'd be able to switch off but I still come home and work for another hour or two - I can't seem to stop myself, I need a good slap. :rotfl:

Rightio, bed and a book calls. Hope everything's doing ok (& hugs if you need them!) Can't wait to catch up with you all properly soon xxx
