Aww, thank you everyone
*blush*
We finally have interwebs :T Thank the heavens, as no phone signal was doing me in! Though saying that, things here have been nonstop so not much time for anything other than trying to sort things out or collapsing in bed. Quite a selection of teething problems here, but no deal breakers and things are almost all sorted now, whew. Though it's meant lots of unexpected tradesmen traipsing through the house when I'd planned on sleeping in/chilling out on sofa/luxuriously arranging my books etc.
:www: MFW Wonderment: a few lovely YS things picked up (& cake now cut up and tucked in the freezer for a few future afternoon teas). Free coffee from Waitflower! Leftovers for dinner this evening. Found an new dress for work in the charity shop (£5, yay). Lots of things identified for eBaying!
:heartsmil Simple Pleasures: had about 10 cups of tea today, all lovely; house is filled with spring flowers; seeing lots of stars at night :smileyhea

How are you both getting on with going up and down the stairs? When we first moved to a house from a ground floor flat, my butt muscles didn't half ache!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

:rotfl: yes, my legs are still in shock!
Happy news is that on "lazy" days I still do at least double the amount of steps I used to do when in the flat.Though I seem to have quickly developed a 'oh I'll leave that then' when I realise something is upstairs *raps knuckles* :rotfl:

So, life stuff has still been super crazy busy and a few weeks of "is it a cold? is it a flu? is it just hayfever?" has been rumbling away so it feels like not a lot has been achieved but in reality things are slowly coming together, thank heavens (though still getting a little bit bored of living in just-moved-in chaos).
Having a bit of a break this week and trying to focus on fun stuff - reading books, relaxing, pondering life-goals and, tonight, enjoying a few g&ts
Bought a whole bunch of seeds (some for cutting flowers & some salad & tomato seeds amongst other things) - must get planing soon. Bought some frivolous trellises for my sweet peas and oh gosh, they look sooo good. Also got 20% off, so at least that's an MSE box ticked.
Have been getting loads of YS foodstuffs lately, woot. Freezer getting nicely stocked up again.
Three large !kea bags of stuff gathered together to declutter to charity shops. :T Tried to deliver one to the CS today and despite saying online they were open til 5.30 they had closed at 5 and I got there a few minutes after. Rapped on the window and the woman inside shooed me away (& then totally blanked me) despite me showing her the huge bag of donations! Very non-impressed and pretty disgusted, tbh! Think I'll give my stuff to the other CS now(!).
In amongst the decluttering I realised how many nice clothes I have (and can't fit into). Managed to do some kick arsey Davina dvd the other week, want to try and do more if possible so I can fit back into (at least some of) my nice things by summer time.
Got my largest pay day ever last month :T So far have tucked £1300 in savings. Might not last the whole month but will darn well try and keep it all in there(!!). Still working out house crossover bills but it's all gradually coming together.
Savings plan in general - a little behind due to covering moving costs, but some of that money was there to cover such a thing and it's amazing to recover so quickly for once! :T Should still be on track to save around £500ish a month, which will be amazing.
Mr M has paid off his student loan, which is insane and changes things massively. So he ends up with a large pay increase every month :T Very exciting times
Bought some tights in the sale which should do me for most of the rest of the year. This month should mostly be quiet for going out and about, then holiday next month (think I'll be somewhat restrained with holiday spending though - so many books and things here I still need to read or use). Might need a pair of work shoes and a few other bits but am going to try and use up stuff I have here as much as possible. Still trying to work out a balanced get-rid-of-it-it's-taking-up-physical-and-emotional-space/use-it-up-and-save-money way forward with lots of random items.
Ultimately it's just about making the environment around me healthy, which is somewhat changeable and there's nothing like a life-event like moving to shake things up a bit so still working out the best way to come down to earth. I daresay it'll all work out in the end!
Shall try and get back on here asap to get back into the swing of things... have been feeling a bit lost at sea and there's nothing like writing on here to help get some focus(!)
:heartsmil Simple Pleasures: FIL saw a nightingale in our garden! Have been keeping avid watch since finding out... cross fingers I see her soon. :smileyheaa penny picker upper.
