Sorry to hear that work is weird. Will it settle down? Would you consider looking for another job? Or do more self-employed stuff?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

That's before we even get to making sure I have all sorts of original documents (hopefully most are in the family but I might have to request them from various agencies if anything is missing).
Haven't done any more about it yet... it would mean dealing with an unpleasant family member to get the original documents... all fun and gamesa penny picker upper. I feel much better about it all today, I was feeling so odd at the beginning of the week which probably didn't help. I probably just overdosed on news articles
The one really good thing about this job though is that I finally seem to have got it into my head that - it's just a job! It's not the be all and end all.
So yes, worse case scenario I'd look for something else (and yes, hopefully by that point maybe I can just have more self-employed stuff going - but obviously much easier to handle & more easily money-producing self-employed stuff than I did before :rotfl:)a penny picker upper. Mr M has bought some fancy scales during the Prime Day escapades in an effort towards good health. It does alarming things like pick up body fat (terrifying) and your heartbeat (apparently I don't have one). Have been shamed by the readings into doing more exercise, hopefully will get back to doing some cardio tomorrow (did some on Sunday after drinking Pimms and not enough water afterwards and made myself hideously ill - only just psyching myself back up to it all again now). If I don't manage it I guess I can blame my lack of pulse?
Decluttered lots at the weekend - random placemats, sweet & biscuit tins, odd decorative things... all sorts of weird bits and bobs only fit for a charity shop. Filled up another bag for life. :T
:www: MFW Wonderment: made around £30 on eBay last week (can't remember if I said). Gosh, it suddenly adds up, doesn't it? Loving seeing money pour in - need to have another raid about the house to find more to sell!
OnePolled and scavenged bits from the cupboards for lunchbox today.

So satisfying this decluttering lark!
Might be having a trip to the charity shop myself shortly.

It really is, MCI!
I managed to fill up another bag for life today. Was feeling overwhelmed by 'stuff' again and Mr Merle marched me into the spare room and we had an epic decluttering session tonight. One bin bag of charity stuff and another of actual rubbish (scary). Feeling calmer again, going to keep doing the rounds in there until things are sorted until they can be sorted no more!
Been quite busy recently with friends - lots of major life news going on with them (mostly good; an old friend I hadn't spoken to in a while has been quite seriously ill but thankfully is well on the mend).
Can't get over how hot it is. Have mostly been melting the last few days. We've bought new light/heat-blocking blackout curtains for the front room and just put them up tonight - they've already made a huge difference thank heavens.
:www: MFW Wonderment: OnePolled; continued good work with healthy meals and eating well from the store cupboards; had another eBay sale - will list the remaining things one more time then donate any leftovers to the charity shop to get things moved out.
Did some self-employed bits, but have felt a bit zapped the last few days so haven't done as much as I'd like. Oh well.
9 days til payday! Can't wait, should be able to put circa £400 into savings :T

Evening
:www: MFW Wonderment: worked :T Feeling chipperer there as I had a good breakthrough today which should mean tackling my workload going forward will be easier/yield better results (which is always welcome)
Did a good stint of self-employed bits yesterday, feeling happier with where that's at now too.
Seven sleeps till pay day! :T
Have done exceptionally well resisting the summer sales this year. :A (Shall save up and take advantage of them next year instead :rotfl:)
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: waking up feeling utterly rested (think our new health eating regime is finally kicking in and helping me sleep better :T)
:heartsmil Burrow Building: Mr M worked from home today and I returned to a house in which random odd jobs that have been kicking about for ages had been done. So glorious to see little things getting sorted out. Sounds like a few more work from home days might be in his future so I'm already looking forward to what else will be achieved in my absence :rotfl:a penny picker upper. Hi PMPM,, I've only just found your diary and have spent the last week enjoying it. I love your MFMF wonderment, simple pleasures and burrow building headings. Shows us there is something good to be found in everyday. I've also made a note of some books to read that you have recommended and will be motivated to de-clutter konmarie style.
Really interesting diary, hope things settle down at work and of course, congratulations on the engagement.

Hello Cath  Lovely to see you - I confess, I've been lurking on your diary and following your extension adventure
It must be so lovely to finally be storming on with things now
Hope you like the books, I've just been rereading some of them - they always get me in the mood to go and Get Things Done.I also heartily recommend The Secret - there's something about it that's incredibly uplifting (and I'm sure it's responsible for helping me get those Kate Bush tickets a few years ago
)
