Fab e-bay sales - so satisfying un-packing those boxes - especially if you are making you money.

The last few busy days have finally caught up with me - spent the majority of the day on the sofa and have got basically nothing done other than watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (:o)
Rallied this evening and cooked katsu curry for tea (sauce from scratch :A) and packaged up eBay bits for posting. Also wrote an email to a friend - slowly getting better at keeping up with people (used to be several months between communications due to health/Life Stuff, but now I'm so much better this has been reduced to only several weeks. Next stop - several days :rotfl:)
6p into the Kitty Bank :T
Unexpectedly substantial and yummy lunch of spicy coleslaw and mixed bean wraps (corn wraps & coleslaw in fridge needed using up, just added a tin of beans :T). Surprising I managed to come up with such a winning concoction in such a zombie-like state.
Ah well, tomorrow is another day - will just see where it takes me...a penny picker upper. Very nice sofa, fits in with how I imagine your burrow.
I noticed at the weekend whilst driving how autumnul it seemed. Lots of brown leaves on the floor, never known it like that at this time of year.
Great eBay sales too!
Still in awe of the eBay sales! We've made around £300 in the last couple of months... and only from a few bits, mad. What's great that it'll hopefully inspire Mr M to sell more (he has so many random little things that are actually worth quite a few pennies....)a penny picker upper. And I love that sofa - especially the Aubergine/ purple colour it came up in (No idea whether that's the colour you want - I just really like purple things!)

Somehow haven't managed to catch up on here yet with all my ponderings & plans, and won't manage much this evening as rushing about getting ready to go away tomorrow (off to beaches and lovely places! All for rock bottom train tickets & hotel deals - how we've managed it on a BH I don't know, Mr M just has serious deal-hunting skills :T)
But thought I'd quickly nip in...
:www: MFW Wonderment: Almost the end of the month and the savings are still intact, impressed with myself.
Read quite a bit of The Escape Artist's blog this morning - MFW points for continuing to educate myself about financial shenanigans.
Walked the long way into town after work a couple of days ago instead of taking the bus :T It was a beautiful day & the walk was blissful (despite being along a busy main road) in the sunny weather, must do it more often.
Mr Merle sold another of those toys for £25. Brilliant stuff
Meal planning all going well. Now we've replenished our herbs & spices and we're both on a serious healthy kick, we've managed to get the week's shopping budget down quite a bit.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: afternoon naps and lazily reading magazines (well, flicking through and looking at pictures. Have still been quite tired lately so actively reading literature has been off the agenda).
:heartsmil Burrow Building: oh so many new things found to eBay. Huzzah! Have also decluttered more books and random bits. Going to have another massive sort through when I get back from hols.a penny picker upper. Plan for a cheap holibob is teetering... walked into an amazing bookshop and did not leave empty handed
In better news, did pick up some practical clothing (i.e. socks) in the sale (were in summer sale & then extra 20% off with BH sale), so have redeemed myself slightly :rotfl: (Reminds me - also grabbed some sandals in the sale before we left - also in summer sale, with extra BH offer & cashback = extra £10 off £33 sandals that were down from £67* :T)
*Super-duper soles ones from Hotter (I can walk 20 miles a day in them - such good shoes)
We've also nabbed quite a lot of food freebies from various places& got another free use out of passes we have to the Eden Project.
Saw seals frolicking today! Oh my, I love the sea. Might have to include a beach hut in my FIRE objectives.a penny picker upper.
