    Wow didn't realise it was 5 days since I last posted :o

    Been a hectic start to the holidays with a trip to visit my mum coupled with going to the beach and then just lots of friends over and sleepovers. Phew I am exhausted already and its only week one. ;)

    Hubby is in for his operation tomorrow afternoon, looking forward to getting it behind us to be honest so we can move on and not have it looming in from of us.

    Think we are covered for about two weeks lost income, so hopefully by the 10th August he should be fit for work again.

    It certainly helps me get to my part-time jobs having him home for two weeks, nice not to have to stress about what to do with the kids.

    I worked this morning, Ds was at a mates for a sleep over and dd sat with hubby as he is working outside today.

    Just paid the mortgage this afternoon and should hopefully be able to pay the last of my credit cards for July in the next week or so.

    I am making sure I do not pay any debts until the mortgage is paid nowadays as have nearly tripped us up in the past. Mortgage is waaaay more important that an old credit card debt.

    Got to take ds to his end of season Cricket BBq and presentation tonight. Have a nasty feeling that the BBq will not be free, hopefully they are cheap :o

    Also got to nip to Matalan tomorrow morning to get hubby a dressing gown as forgot that he needs one for the operation. Talk about leaving it till last minute.

    Oh well had better go get ready to go out. Speak soon xx

    Thanks so much MTG, MissT, Sweatpea & Buffy. Hubby is finishing off a work project this morning and will hopefully be back by 11.30, in time for a quick shower then off to hospital. In a weird way it will be nice for hubby to have some downtime. He works so hard 365 days a year as we have been too far in debt to ever afford him to have more than a week or so off for Christmas and that is it.

    Feel guilty when I think about that because it is my mismanagement of our money that has gotten us into this debt and in turn has forced hubby into working so hard.

    Hopefully by the end of this year I will have seriously depleted the debt and can start saving for an emergency fund/holiday pay early next year for hubby. Would be lovely to get enough savings in the bank to afford to say, "Lets just take next week off". One day........

    While hubby is in hospital I am going to pop to the inlaws and do some of the paperwork they have been nagging me to do. apparently they are not capable to change their own address's with companies after their move so I am needed :(:mad:. I seriously hope I am not this useless when I get older, they do seem to have a defeatist attitude to life. Unless I am not understanding enough of what it is like to be an OAP.

    Anyways I had better check out and get on with my motherly duties xxxx

    :mad::mad::mad::mad: Hubby's operation has been cancelled :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Apparently there has been an emergency and they have had to cancel four operations, one of them being hubbys. So now they will hopefully get him booked in again within the next two weeks!!.

    We have no work for hubby as we planned for him to be having the operation so god knows where this will leave us financially :mad:

    So fed up
