    Hi all

I have posted twice today but both times it failed to post my reply. Very annoying.

Thanks for your reply Snowscreamer, I have started a new budget in YNAB and have put every category repeated in every week. Will be messy to do any Reports but I think this change about will help me get my finances under control again. I have kept my old budget just in case this system doesn't work and I want to go back.

Thanks for posting MissT, Dawn and MTG, nice to see you haven't all given up on me.

Seriously trying to stop being impulsive with the misc spending. I have forecast our finances and if I could just stick to the budget then the bank account looks like it could carry hubby being off for his operation. Just need more self control and the ability to say NO to the children more often :o.

Not a lot more to report at the moment. Will try to post this reply and hopefully it works. xx

    Evening

Its been a really weird un productive week for me. Ds has had yet more troubles at school with fallings out with friends and has been very miserable and it seems to have a knock on effect on me and I have felt very unsettled all week.

Every day has been filled with errands, working or people dropping by so I feel I haven't got hardly an of the jobs I wanted done.

My brain feels like its exploding with things I am trying to remember or that still need doing so I thought I would log them down here.

    1) Start HomeRoutines cleaning app again
    * Typically of me, as soon as this app started working I missed a few days and stopped doing it. The house is starting to upset me again so need to get back onto this.

    2) Catch up with jobs that need doing in polytunnel :-
    * Weeding, watering and planting out seedlings

    3) Put more flystrike protection on lambs

    4) Sunscreen on Piglets

    5) Continue with the garden clearing/weeding task I set myself.

Sure there are lots more things, but will add as I remember.

    xxx

Lovely to see you posting again Steph. Welcome back! I've missed your diary so much while you've been away.
You sound stressed, (I know it's your username but...)I guess because of the tough time your son is having on top of the tight money and the need to prepare for the time your OH will be off work. So I wanted to say take time to take care of yourself and appreciate how much you have achieved in difficult circumstances.
You are brilliant. Your family are lucky to have you.

You are right abba, I am already making some plans for cheap things to do in the summer.

I might try starting to put away one of my little cleaning job monies to save for outings.

I am thinking maybe trying to afford the train the London again and do some free museums

Camping at the top of our field one night, might be scary/fun

Petrol fund for trips to the beach, fishing & cheap BBq

    Will keep thinking ;)

    Hi Verbatim

Thank you so so much for your lovely post.

Haha I didn't choose my username without reason - I am often Stressed and annoyingly over even small things :o. I am a born worrier.

Things will work out, a chap called at the door the other day, with a bag full of household bits trying to make some money, we was apparently an ex-con on rehabilitation. I felt so sorry for him I spent my last £8 on some gardening gloves.

I ended up feeling annoyed at first because something always comes along to take my last bits of money, but then I put it into perspective that there is always someone worse off than you and the miles he must have been walking just to make a small commission from his sales.

That's what I lack sometimes - Perspective. I have a lovely family, our health (mostly), a lovely home and most things we need. I just need to budget better, get these last debts paid and some savings pots built up to cover lifes hurdles.

I doubt very much that I am dealing with anything worse than 80% of the rest of the population, I just don't deal with it very well most of the time :o

I am a big believer in PMA - Positive Mental Attitude, so I will try to get back to that and have a more positive diary.

Love you loads Verbatim, thank you so much x

    Afternoon Diary

Have been naughty and have signed up to do Yoga every Monday morning. It isn't cheap at £8 per session but both hubby and I allow ourselves £20 per week FUN money, of which I often don't use, as being a martyr comes naturally to me, so I often just pay bills with it.
Having been so stressed lately and feeling like I spend my whole week running around for others, I thought "to hell with it" and did something for myself. Its all in the budget and its about time I used mine.

So....Had a lovely morning. Now I am home and have TONNEs of housework to do.

Hubby has finally been paid by 2 out of 3 people who owe him money. Funds still super tight but at least I can buy some food now :o.

Trying to put away £198 per week away to get the mortgage back on track. Have put it away this week but will see if I manage to not touch it, as it takes us completely down to the wire. Fingers Crossed.

Sun is shining and I want to be outside, but the house is a mess so needs must.

    Have a great day xxx
