Morning All,
Jacks mummy. - Happy Anniversary, hope you have a lovely day.
DGS was Joseph in his nursery nativity yesterday. Sadly we missed it, but got some photos. Did you see him on Facebook last night Judi? He was so proud of himself, but got stage fright when it came to the singing.
Last day in Ashford, with two nieces coming to us. We start heading home tomorrow, so I hope weather is kind to us.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
Morning all,
I had a brilliant nights sleep last night. If Millster wanted to get up to go out I didn't hear her. What did I do differently to other nights? I nicked hubbys pillow.:o Hubbys pillow used to be mine (its memory foam but I found it uncomfortable so I gave it him.:D) Anyway, using his pillow as well as using mine worked out really well. Looks like buying yet another set of pillows.
Up bright and early, our bed is stripped and being laundered. 'Youngest' is still using his. :rotfl:
Vacuuming throughout today. The living room is a bit of a state, I cut a load of matts out of the girls ears last night and was too tired to get the vacuum out again.
I'm also going to maximise space in my kitchen cupboards today to make space for any extra Christmas food. Ive given the larder fridge/freezer a good clean too.
Ive got a Christmas card that needs to be posted today. I believe the last day for second class post was yesterday so i'll have to send it first class.
Ive got a couple of programmes I want to watch on 4oD at some point but theres no rush.
I'm on a roll, long may it continue!
Have a great day all,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all.
Welcome Yvie!
Thanks for the hugs ladies, sorely needed this week!
Have bought all the presents I intend to, just need to pick up a gift voucher for mum but that's from the beautician across the road so an easy one! Will have to brave the supermarket at some point as DD and boyfriend and my brother are dining here on boxing day mow, otherwise after the next 2 days at work I will be free to hibernate for a week, MIL is still being a bit of a pest about Christmas day, but we will visit her in the morning, she will have her sister and BIL for company!
Better get the uniforms ironed I suppose!
Have a great day all!RIP Iain

Have had an awful day yesterday. I take care and watch over a lovely 92 year old neighbour. Had a frantic phone call from her friend who luckily had just popped in. Found her on the floor surrounded by blood.
I rushed over and the poor thing had seriously split her head open and Split her lip and grazed herself. Called ambulance and they were lovely. Stayed with me on phone till ambulance arrive. 1/2 hour as we live in the sticks. Poor lady had 7 stitches in forehead and about 30 in side of her head. Stayed with her till she was comfortable and moved to ward.
Her son from Manchester is coming down today. So now I,ve been over and cleaned up the house. Could only do so much yesterday as was at hospital till 9 had been there since 2. Bless her heart she was so brave.
I,ve been so calm. Till today when I phoned hospital to see how she was. Then just broke down and started crying. Still crying now. She,s such a lovely lady, very proud and adorable. I,m sure she,ll be fine so why am I so upset.
Sorry about the feeling sorry for myself. I,m not really. X0 -
Hi all.
Yvie welcome - you'll love it here.:o
Betheebee lovely to "see" you again.:o

As it is some way out on the Gower peninsula, I hope we get there and back safely if it is windy. The food choice was uninspiring: Xmas dinner & pudding or beef and apple pie - we have to pay btw, so please don't think I'm being ungrateful. The last Yule card will be doled out today; Mr LW's pal is visiting us this evening (the card is for him). I've suggested that Mr LW pick him up, park the car facing outwards when he gets back with his pal because I dislike reversing, and I'll drive him home. That way he can partake of the cider Mr LW has in the fridge without risking falling foul of Uncle Nick.;) Call it my good deed for the day.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone,
fiftyeighter - it's the shock, I do this, cope with everything very calmly and then get upset afterwards when I'm by myself. It's better than behaving like a headless chicken at the time I suppose.
Welcome Yvie and welcome back bethebee, I remember you but you won't remember me because I used to lurk rather than post.
Judi, I am very particular about pillows, I always use a latex one, which is horrendously expensive but worth it. I shall be taking it away with me for Christmas.
A quiet day here, DH is out at a leaving do tonight. I'm doing a few last minute jobs and need to deliver some cards. Oh and I need to finish the cake today as well.0 -
Fiftyeighter I just saw your post; I think you posted while I was typing, as I type slowly.
As snoozer says, it's shock. It's a reaction to be expected, quite honestly, because your subconscious is doing the old "what if..." routine - "what if" I hadn't gone over; "what if" she'd not made it as far as the hospital, etc, etc; and the best thing imho is to just let the tears come; your system needs that release.
Well done on dealing so well at the time, btw.:T Now just give yourself a bit of recovery time, and do not apologise for "feeling sorry for yourself", ok?:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Not sure what happened to my early morning post, I seem to have lost it.
Hello and welcome to Yvieblue :hello:
fiftyeighter - that must have been a terrible shock for you, I hope your neighbour is recovering wellPenny-Dog always used to give me a really filthy look when I changed her bedding, as if to say "I just got that smelling nice and doggy, and you have to go and wash it! Huh! Humans!!":rotfl:
LW - this really made me laugh and it's an identical reaction by the ferrets, they hate clean bedding and I can virtually hear them huffing and puffing every time I change it :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

On a happier note all ready for Christmas. Just veg and fruit to get.
Feeling quite chuffed with myself.
Hoping you are all well.0 -
Afternoon all,
Feeling grotty today, I overdid it yesterday by pulling the content of the under stairs cupboard out and sorting it all. By 6pm I was on my knees and this morning was in a state still. I got sensitive back to bed by DH and slept until almost lunchtime ... must remember that I'm 22 weeks pregnant with a toodler and should slow down a bit. Needless to say, I've been converted!!
About to go to a friends house to see her and her daughter, a little easier for me that relying on Cbeebies to entertain Frog. I feel like a bad mummy but I'm exhausted
Short one today, hopefully I'll be heading back to form tomorrow xxWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0
