Ok, so recounted, actually have £85 left for the rest of the month.. A day and a half. Don't know how it has happened but at least I have lots to cover my outing tomorrow. Yay, very much looking forward to it.

I need to do some grouting. Bleh. Need to clean as well. Bleh bleh. Boo.

So now, next month, I'm going to try to keep to the £300 budget again though I have some bills on top of that.
  • My day out came to over £50! I had a toastie that cost nearly £15! And I asked for a baguette! :rotfl: Worth it. It was a great day.

I'm suffering now though, my hips, knees and back are killing me. But I'm going to have a nice little wander with my mum today, it's really nice to have a bit of time with my mum. Since I work, socialise about 3-4 times a week, study and need to sleep about 10-11 hours a night, I barely get to see her.

I'm not best pleased with Nationwide flex direct, they don't half make things difficult. I have no idea why they get good reviews.

Hope you're all doing well! A new month, a new £300!

Good day to all of you.

This week has been very stressful. Work is just a bit hellish, loads and loads on my plate and more is on the horizon. I'm also having issues with the newer people, we had a quite large influx so I've been teaching them on how to do the job (they're all replacing me). There's one who is sexist and incompetent, he will give out incorrect information and thinks this is ok! !!!!!!? He will also argue against me as if I'm trying to make his life harder, there's no point to it! He makes some very uncomfortable comments towards me and it just makes me angry, that's exhausting to be annoyed everyday. Another is refusing to do his job, even when I'm sitting next to him trying to walk him through it. I have to nag him to do his job, I'm not their manager. I don't know what to do, it stresses me out and I have so much more to get done than babysit these muppets.

Moneywise, I'm skint. I've been so stressed in the last week that I've been "treating" myself to lunch, chocolate, dominos, mixed grills... I'll have to be very good for the next 16 days or I'll have blown the budget well and truly. I need to check how much I've spent so far.

Socially, I'm a bit down, half of my friends have moved away and now the other half look like they will be as well. I kind of feel like if I could start afresh in a new place, I would be able to make new friends, whereas here I'm stuck in a bit of a rut. But I do have a boyfriend here, whom I'm happy with mostly.

    Healthwise, I'm not great.

But my savings are doing well. Boyfriend did give me a nice surprise today (a facebook message from his holiday). House is slowly getting tidied and the new shower is lovely!

Productivity will be the theme of my 24th year. Why? Because I'm lazy, I'm both ambitious and lazy which can fight each other but sometimes work together. From my birthday I have also been eating a lot (5 cakes, one day...) which I really really need to stop right now otherwise I will need to spend loads for plus sized clothes!

The house is making progress! Downstairs is looking messy but less cluttered than it has been for a long long time. My room no longer has the contents of the airing cupboard in it and it looks like it won't be long until my chest of drawers is built!

I've essentially taken a month off my course. This is partially due to ill health and partially due to laziness. I will be picking this up with a vengeance! I will book an exam soon and force myself to make progress.

I have bulk bought some heat pads, they are usually over £6 but at the moment they're 2 for £10 and then I got cash back. I got 10... I need to clear somewhere to store them all!

TSB has a new current account, 5% on up to 2k. Might open one but it's not going to hold much of my savings. I wonder if I can keep my current one and have this new one on top...

Job hunting is going badly. My job is super stressful at the moment so I've been getting home and being lazy. But no more!

So, I overspent by around £30 last month, but I did stock up on the heat packs that I live on annnnnnnd got cashback.

I am still saving! I'm at 14.5k! Woot woot! I'm going through the whole dragging money through all the buckets each month. Best paid 10 minutes of the month! But I am worrying a bit about money I have that isn't in interest baring accounts. One is my spends so that's just £300, but I have over 5k sitting without interest! I'm struggling to cope with getting good accounts without over applying to accounts. Eek. Maybe I'm over-thinking it.

On a personal level, I feel awful. Just plain awful. Urgh. My pain has been sparking horrifically. I feel just dreadful. Nearly cried at work today.

Just found out that the lloyds money manager has improved a lot. I may be playing with that.

Course is going well. My test scores have not dipped below 80%. Time to book my test me thinks.

Been thinking about buying a house today. So I live in the south east, housing is expensive so I need to save up and increase my income. So I've made some assumptions:
    • I will be 30 before I get my first house.
    • A small two bed house is £200k
    • No input from mum (matter of pride on my part)
    • My current savings are up for grabs for the deposit.
    • The deposit I want is 60k.
I will need to save just over £640 each month. I have no chance of getting any bonuses and no overtime is available. I really need to get a new job. Just been applying to a couple more jobs, but I'm not fantastically hopeful. I need to have a 30k salary to get the mortgage, I'm just not on that. :rotfl:

Still working on my AAT, I'm about to pay for my AAT membership.

Looked into cashback credit card. The only one I want I don't qualify for! Damn! But I am only £500 away. So even if I'm stuck in my current job, by the end of the year I will be up to that level! Yay!

Looking forward to the new ISAs! Woo!

    Evening.

Had a rubbish day at work. I won't go into it.

So I was chatting to a friend whom I get the train with. I told him off for using the vending machine where his chocolate is a whopping £1 instead of walking 1.5 minutes to the shop and getting the same chocolate for a much more palatable 60p-75p. Baring in mind that he buy this chocolate bar every working day, that's almost 7-13 chocolate bars extra! Each month! That's a lot of chocolate! If he were earning £10 an hour (I have no idea about this), after tax he'd be earning 13.3p a minute, which matches the bigger saving per minute walked!

I'm just about book my test! It's been too long getting to this stage. I really shouldn't have taken that month off.

However! My AAT membership lets me buy a NUS card plus other money off other stuff! Woo!

I'm thinking about moving out. I don't think I'm healthy enough in terms of money and physically. But it's nice to dream! I'd love to have a nice little two bed house. Preferably near mum so I can pop round for a cup of tea or sunday lunch.

    Been busy!

Work is still getting me down but been applying to more jobs, so fingers crossed!

AAT is easy peasy. Finding it difficult to motivate myself to do it but hey! I'm getting there. Starting unit 3 now.

I purchased a lot yesterday. Boots has a 3 for 2 offer on my hair stuff which is expensive but is the only thing that works with my goofy hair. My brother gave me a £20 giftcard, so I got 6 of them. I essentially cleared the shelf. Lol.

Also bought loads of books! Loads! For less than £20! Yay!

I have had one hell of a shock. A colleague of mine, whom I was training, was let go. Then last week, we were told that he had committed suicide. I feel a bit guilty, if I'd done a better job of training him then maybe he wouldn't have been let go. His poor wife. I still can't quite shake off the shock.

    Hm, off to nicer topics.

My budget is pretty tight at the moment, I think I might not be able to stay within budget unfortunately this month. Damn.

I got head hunted! It's for a seemingly good role, but I will be interrogating them at the interview. There's no point in moving job into one that is worse or without prospects.

My exam is next week, so I'm concentrating on studying at the moment. It should be fine, it doesn't seem difficult but will study regardless.

Went out with boyfriend and his friends last night, had quite a lot of fun even though we were in the worst club in town. What a dive.

Hello again! Happy Egg Day! Or Happy Easter to practising Christians!

I've treated myself to a brand spanking new... bank account!! This is number 8 I think, it's the new 5% on 2k from TSB. EeeeEEEeeee! It's so exciting, that's an additional £5-6 each month!

Still studying (or procrastinating) for my exam on tuesday, it'll be okay, I understand this. I should since this is the easiest module lol.

Watching extreme couponers, someone just saved $4000! Someone else just saved $6000! These people are just incredible. I mean, I wouldn't ever spend that much time shopping, they buy utter tripe and sometimes they buy things I just can't understand why they do it. But very impressive.

Worked out how much I have until payday, £39. Doable. Eep.
