Oh no lilt, it wasn't my boss, it was one of my senior colleagues. He was saying that he's going to quit if x, y and z didn't happen. My boss just told me that I would be missing out on something.
700 calories? Whoops! I'm sure it's fine. I ate about 1 million calories today so you're doing alright.
It's dad's birthday today, everyone took the day off and we went out doing things that he would have liked. We ended up in a department store that has a huge toy section, we played, all of us. You can get a sweet shop! A SWEET SHOP! I want this!
So I ended up with new bed linen. There was a sale. So boring. I want to be 5 again.0 -
So, been a bit naughty in terms of money and in terms of calories. A friend of mine was like "I want an icecream sundae" and then... somehow I had an icecream sundae too.
Been ironing today, I can feel welts forming lol.
But mum has been going through the garage, she's very good, so we've been filtering out what we want. I still have so much to get rid of, also need to work out where to sell NBC.
I really want to watch extreme couponing but netflix doesn't have it and now I has a sad
Did find this site though http://www.extremecouponing.co.uk/uk-freebies/ 0 -
Netflix.... Daredevil. Best thing everrrrrrrr!!!
I dodged the ironing. Sorry I missed seeing your dads bday post. I am glad you all had a lovely day! Nice to remember him. I wish I was 5 too. I live vicariously through Jellytot.
As for ice cream sundae's... Man. I wish. I have committed myself to 21 days of eating PERFECTLY balanced macro's and the perfect amount of fat/protein - NIL chocolate or sugar shall pass these lips. Boring as it is, I have twice what I have already lost to lose again so I need to stop the casual snacking on things that are rather naughty even when it is 'just a taste' it is knocking me off balance and making me crave more.
I am loving 'Walking on Cars - Catch me if you can' today
lovely song
Big hugs xx

I do not envy your healthy eating. I'm just trying to cut back a bit and it's a bit dull. lol
So my company was sold today and we found out through twitter. #totallynotappropriate
The guys are devastated, we were told that everything would become clear but then there are more questions now than ever. It was emotionally draining because as the least affected, I was trying to calm the guys down. Now three of them definitely want to quit and another couple are thinking about it. It's the whole support team. Really glad I'm already jumping.0 -
So that was what your boss said you were missing out on? Sounds like you got out at the perfect time hun.
P.S I ate green & blacks 85% today. 3 squares. SO much for clean eating

He told me that he was going to pay for my training "at some point" and some other incredibly vague things about great opportunities. It's all things that he's promised in the past and is complete rubbish, the guy is all mouth. He told me in my goodbye interview that I'm a bad salesman, which is fine as I'm not employed as one! :rotfl: He has no idea what I do ha ha
Aww, yum! Three squares aren't a lot!
My tidying has hit a stall in that I'm busy, lazy and ill. I've been folding and popping things into bags ready to pass into the charity shops.
Watched a really interesting documentary, it discussed the US tort law in terms of punitive measures. SO the woman famous for suing McDonalds for the heat of its coffee, OMG the burns that poor woman had and she wasn't actually driving. Apparently she never regained the strength in her legs. Another women's company placed (against her will) her in barracks with 200 men, some of whom drugged and raped her so badly that she had to have reconstructive surgery, she was then locked in a storage container! All the while, she couldn't sue because the contract of employment stated that it had to be mediated and no litigation could occur!
Feel so poorly.

Oh dear - feel better soon poppet.
That programme sounds good and horrifying in equal measures!!
Definitely a good thing you're getting out of that workplace. I had a boss like that before. All mouth, no trousers. xxx

I'm sorry you had to deal with a boss like that, at least you're out of that situation.
Spent a lot of today sorting things in the garage, now I feel very achey but very good. We got rid of a car load to the dump, found mugs and bowls that are amazing. I have put dibs on the mugs for when I leave home, we have no use for them currently and I like them. My uncle did a lot of it, we found a hose pipe, do we have an outlet for it? No! Did we find a second one? YES! Also found the champagne that my sister and I were given for our 18th birthday, sister can't drink alcohol and I believe that I was on meds at the time. It's really nice to have it though, maybe I will open it sometime.
Currently I am sorting through my to give away pile, popping things into bags ready to take to work with me. Work is a short walk away from some charity shops, home is a longer one.
I have one more payday until my paycut and my new opportunity, it makes me a bit anxious but this is a brilliant investment in my future. Qualified accountants in my area command up to £50k max (ish), £36k average and 25k minimum. Any of those are higher than the salary cap at my current workplace, without the potential of career development as well.
The thing is, I will have to reign back my spending as my salary is going down and then my commuting costs will double. My priority is still to save and invest. I would love to buy myself a house or flat before I'm 30, which means that I would be unqualified at that point.
My investments have taken a bit of a hit. I'm still £400 up. So I'm not too beaten up about it.0 -
Bluergh KP your boss sounds like a complete tool. Glad you're on a positive track onwards and upwards

Thanks Jonesy, it's all positive really!
Work has been rubbish, just one more week! And one more paycheck, I will miss the additional money. Had an awkward conversation with the new CFO, he wanted to know if the take over had happened before I got the offer whether I would have stayed... Noo... lol
First driving lesson completed. They are really expensive, £44 for the two hours.
I feel poorly, so I might just go back to bed.0
