I am buzzing still! Thanks for your support guys. Hopefully now, this is a diary of positives and cheerfulness instead of the previous grumpy bum version. :)

Sugar free uh? Since going on the mini pill, I have been spottier than I was as a teenager (I was blessed). Maybe I will reduce my sugar intake and see if it helps me like it does you. This week I have been very naughty and have been eating cake (mum bought it as a celebration on monday, it's taken this long to eat it!) but I try not to eat too many sweet things. Does the sugar in fruits count? I eat a banana and an apple a day.

My chair is now built, so my back should start to feel better now. So exciting that I now have a proper work space as well as a new job.

I face doing 8 exams in 6 months. Yikes.

Having written my resignation letter, mum has convinced me not to give it in yet. I have the letter of offer and the handbook but not the contract? Does the letter of offer count? It'll start in 6 weeks!

Do feel like a spy at work though. Dangerous living me.

The one issue is that my salary will be going down and my commuting costs will be doubling (this is offset out of the park by the training) so I will have to pull it in a bit. Especially as we still don't know when mum's job is going.

    It's all very exciting.

Spent about £140 yesterday  but it's on new clothes for the new job. My office is incredibly casual- (have been told that I shouldn't be dressing up when I was wearing a dress), whereas this new office will be more formal.

I did get a pair of shoes that I did not intend to, they were in the sale and in my size and both beautiful AND office wear.

My mission for today is to sort my clothes and study some more. Been studying for 2 hours so far, so only 4 hours left to hit my target.

Oh let me know how you get on kd, I would love to know if you think it is any good.

The course I really wanted to do would have cost loads of money so decided on a Gr*upon course which cost me £12. I've finished it and got a diploma :D

I haven't started my free course, I had problems st the initial sign up but all sorted now and will start it tomorrow.

I've been to aqua zumba tonight :j can't run anymore as I've done something to my knee :(

Well done on your new job hun, fantastic for you :T happy New work clothes too :rotfl:

KP, once you have a formal offer I.e. Not dependant on references etc you can give your notice in. They don't have to issue a contract until you start. However, that's where I fell down when I took carp job, as I didn't realise how carp their terms were. I.e no sick pay for 6 months, carp holidays and just carp all round - that was all in the handbook but they didn't show that to me either until it was too late.

Listen to your mum and trust your instincts. But very very well done. And good luck chuck x

I ddddiiiiiiiidddd it, I quit my job. Took like 90 minutes to do! SS the offer didn't have any conditional clauses in it and it came with the handbook so I do know the terms of employment, I get fewer holiday days but other than that the terms are almost identical.

What is aqua zumba? I don't understand how it works. :rotfl:

Feeling motivated at the moment. I ate lots today in a bid to stay awake (long story) so now I want to work on ... everything! My room needs to be cleaned, my shower needs to be cleaned, I've convinced mum to let me attack the kitchen junk drawer at the weekend, my washing is in the machine...

    Also need to study.

    :) So excited.

    Ah well done Peaty:j

Aqua zumba is basically exercise in water, I think we're supposed to be dancing but I can't dance out of water so I don't know how I'm supposed to do it in a swimming pool :rotfl:

I've got washing on at the moment too. Off to do a bit of studying x

    Hey you!!

Yes sadly fruit sugars count!! I am under 20g net carbs (so sugars in anything, even carrots and peas) a day but the skin side effects are pretty fab. Plus losing weight. Plus boundless energy.

Well done on quitting your job. I am so pleased for you; were they upset or did they not care? Not like you're going to be sad to leave eh?

LOLing at you eating all of the things for energy and now buzzing. ;) slow down little Peaty :D bet your mum is seriously chuffed for you. And she should be. You worked your butt off for this. Now the fun starts! 8 exams? Least you aren't paying for them!! ;) You already know you have the motivation in spades!! xx

I can't really dance or swim, so you are already beating me! Let me know how you get on with it after you've gone a couple of times, please. I'm open to new exercises, but swimming pools are out of my way so it is something for the future. :)

    Thanks SS! :j

Well, I had some really odd reactions. The most shocking one was "You beat me to it" then had a rant about things that didn't really have anything to do with me :rotfl: Most were supportive, apart from the boss but even he was better than I expected. I then had another guy tell me that he was thinking about quitting, one stopped talking to me completely (think he was shocked, he talks to me now) and then another kept telling me that he didn't want to jump over my grave :rotfl: I want him to put in for my role, more convincing needed me thinks. But it's weird lilt, I really enjoy working with the people, it's just the job! And the boss. And lack of structure.

Boyfriend took me out for a bike ride today, I was red faced, huffing, puffing, sweating and swearing. He was cool and fresh as a freaking daisy! Jerk.

I tried to cook for him yesterday and only one thing burnt and it was freaking yummy. It was a sausage and peppers stew with a chilli-garlic cabbage side side. The garlic burnt.

I'm still aching. :) Payday was friday, still need to move my money though. I will though, no worries.

    luffles to all!

Brilliant on the cooking!! Sounds yum!

As for work reactions... !!!!!!. Boss said you beat me to it as in he was going to sack you? Well screw him anyway because you have your DREAM job. As for the people... funny I always mean to keep in touch with people I work with and it never pans out like that even though we might have been firm friends at work. It is a different environment where you are forced to interact with people you wouldn't normally and build bonds out of necessity. They fade pretty quick on the outside!

Bike riding?! I've been wandering the streets like someone possessed trying to rid myself of an extra 700 calories over my goal I may have accidentally eaten today. :o:o:o now I am drinking green tea and debating some weight training to boost my metabolism overnight :rotfl: xx
