Oh god, work is just... What can I say? I'm in trouble, so much so that my boss suggested that I might want to leave the company. Then gave me a raise.

My wrist is killing me. I feel ridiculous that I managed to hurt myself like this!

Been reading the body economic, this is a fascinating book and well worth borrowing from the library.

I'm also almost ready for my exam, I think I will scrape a pass at the moment, so I have until Tuesday to improve on this. Additionally I'm fairly confident that I could do a different exam at the moment as well, I will see if I can get the time off.

I really just want to go to bed right now. But I should be studying.

MADNESS! Utter and complete MADNESS at work these days. There was a big to-do about the post. Of all things, the post. Letters!? The hell is this? I feel so sorry for my manager, she's going to come in tomorrow to an email from me with the half an hour skype conversation copied in.

Trying to revise at the moment, it's going ok... ish. I get a bit muddled with this VAT special scheme thing... It'll be ok, I will pass probably.

I'm curious about this new homes incentive, just a 5 year discount life? This concerns me a bit, I would think that having these sites been discounted forever would be a better way for a permanent solution to affordable housing. It doesn't mean that the house prices will be limited in terms of growth, this is just a discount percentage!

    Toodles.

Did you find it? I found it via the guardian.

    What do foxes sound like?

So I have been doing some sums... Assuming I stay at home and nothing changes, I would be able to save minimum of £750 a month (not including the £100 investment). This means that I would be able to get to the £60k deposit that I am aiming for. But I'd have to stay at home for all of that time.

If I include my investments and liquidate everything, I'd be able to do it within 4 years (still living at home).

If I were to up my savings to £900 a month and liquidate everything I can do it in 3 and a bit years.

This still gives me a very luxurious £500 a month to live off each month (new salary numbers), of which around £100 would go on bills ish, £90 on transport, the rest on me faffing.

On this new salary I would be paying an additional £200 on my student loan a year, which might actually mean that the balance goes down slightly (but who knows!?)

I don't want to liquidate though, I want this investment for the rest of my life essentially, it's there for my piece of mind so that if I do get too ill to work, I might be able to produce a (small) income from it.

This week I was good, no additional spending so last night I bought my family a take away. It's been a difficult time for us all.

Right now I should be cleaning as I have a visitor later, but I can't be bothered so I'm claiming that this update is useful.

Still desperately unhappy at work, still looking for other work. I don't mind taking a pay cut, I want a job with some gateway into a career that I can work at.

Still a bit nervous about my exam. Hope it will go well.

Ok, run out of things to ramble about, will clean now.

    Another pointless post from me!

Boyfriend has left the house and here I am, not studying. !!!!!!! What is wrong with me?

My book is brilliant, I really want to ready that over studying. It's saying that austerity vs spending in recessions is a bit of a non-argument. Reducing your expenditure is going to cripple the poor (and the newly poor) as they will not have the access to food or healthcare and thus cannot work. Whereas increasing expenditure or controlling inflation will aid business and the poor to bounce back. The nineties east asia crash is cited as an example, Malaysia bounced back more quickly than the countries that borrowed from the IMF with the proviso that austerity is imposed.

Had a nice surprise in the post, £5 voucher. Then Quidco gave me another £5 for my sister clicking my link. Pretty good times.

Have not spent any more money, next week, may be spending more.
