So, money made from accounts last month: £37.95, this will increase this month.
Decluttering is happening people! DECLUTTERING! I have sort through a lot of books, I've gotten rid of several bags of items to go to charity shops (sorry ebayers, I just hate ebaying). But now I am going to get rid of my CDs to the bird of music, unless anyone has any better suggestions.
There's also a sale on steam for square enix games.0 -
Him has bought FF7 & 8 on Steam

Amazed at money made from accounts. What you said to Ali on my diary makes sense but I have to say I just made 5% a month on my Flex, then am in the process of switching it and making £150 instantly from that switch a year later. I can only get 1 of the Plus accounts, as I signed up after October 2014 to that account and can only get a 'joint' one which I am not enamoured with doing.
I just don't have the money that you do to be able to put away that much that it matters how many of each account I have at any one time. I will get there but kids are blooming expensive on 3 days a week
lol!
Also I think there is a tool on MSE which you can check where gives you the most money ad is most reliable for the sales of things.
Amazed by decluttering
well done you

I am not the biggest fan of joint accounts either, they seem like a lot of risk. But I can see how they are useful for covering the household bills, I would just be frighten about the other one being not as in control as me.
I think it is also important to say that I have no bills (almost) and no real responsibility in terms of the household budget. The fact that you save lilt seems to be more impressive to me, your's is essentially a choice, mine is inevitable. I mean seriously how can people spend a full time salary on things in a month? :rotfl: I pay for about half of what I eat (this is an ongoing debate, I want to pay more), there is no mortgage to contribute to, I contribute to electricity, gas and water. So really, no choice but to save!
I hope you had a nice valentines, I spent it with my prospect.
We weren't celebrating it (not really my bag, but I appreciate other people like it) , but I cooked for him. I'm not a natural cook, it stresses me out. I may have a burnt finger.
Finally, bit the bullet and swallowed my pride and got myself a prepaid prescription certificate.
Yes it'll save me money but I don't like admitting I take this much.
Was quite miffed at my boss, he thought it was appropriate to bring up my AAT in a meeting with everyone. It's my money and my time, it's got nothing to do with that damn business. :mad:0 -
Why on earth would your boss bring it up in a meeting?! It is not being funded by them; essentially it is like telling people you go horse riding on your days off! I would be mega miffed too.
Am very miffed at my boss, kowtowing to the biggest *beach I have ever worked with in my life and calling me into a meeting to tell me that I am being called in just to *look* like she is doing something about a complaint made about me which can't go anywhere, is unsubstantiated and ridiculously childish. So basically she agrees with me but is going to make it look otherwise? employers suck.
Yay for V day with prospect!!
and cooking even if you did get a burned finger. It stresses me out too... but I am slowly getting there. Mainly to save money on last minute top up shops when I have a cupboard full, I am learning what to do with the things I bought on a whim :rotfl:
If I ever had to pay for my prescriptions (lucky at the minute my tax credits give me an exemption card because I earn less than £16,100 a year - and then some
) I would have no choice but to get one of those cards. I *spend* £70+ a month in prescription charges.
Hugs to you!! xx

It's funny that you've mentioned the pre payment card, I've just decided to not renew mine this year.
When I started it I thought it would be best as I'd had an exemption card as I wasn't working and thought I would struggle if I needed meds.
I have asthma so need to get regular inhaler repeats, but thinking about the number of times over the last 12 months I've actually put in for them I have probably lost money as I've been making sure that I look after myself.
What I've decided to do is put the money I would have been paying each month straight into my emergency fund, that way if I do need a repeat or any other meds I will have the money.
Saying that if you're poorly it's definitely worth it if you need more than a couple of items a month.

Why on earth would someone complain about you!? What an ridiculous situation to be in, I'm sorry lilt.
KD, it's probably for the best if you don't have one
I take 6 pills (4 different meds) a day minimum, so it's cost effective for me.
Did you know that if you withdraw cash on a CC it's not just expensive, it hits your credit history!
I have been naughty with both money and diet, I'm sorry guys.
From now on, I must focus on AAT again. If I don't update you, chase me please!0 -
Explain naughty.. with money and diet? Kick me. Today I bought a ferrero rocher easter egg just because I wanted something from my day out and couldn't find anything... went into Hotel Chocolat and was appalled that 12 chocolates could cost £12 so decided on the much more satisfying egg for £10 (it's HUGE) from the supermarket near home at the end of the day! Lol. Also a nice little RIP to Michele Ferrero
man who gave me nutella... what a God.
Hope you are doing ok!! I am sure you will breeze AAT.
And... I am glad I am not the only one taking a shedload of pills a day! I usually take around 10-14 a day, more on a bad day
without them I resemble the elephant man and walk like the hunchback of notre dame.
what carp lives we sometimes seem to have eh Peaty?
Big hugs! x

P.S Kat texted me some awesome cat pictures from Laos! They are gorgeous. I would adopt them in a heartbeat!

The guy was a legend
Apparently lindt easter eggs are really good value in terms of price and quality... But yeah, I've been naughty in both food and money. Generally connected.
Your stress must be affecting you as well poor lilty, here's a thing:
Now feel better >.<
I feel horrendous, I'm taking it as my exercise is working though. I worked a short week and spent all of friday in bed, felt a bit better afterwards though
Saved about £600 this month. Next month should be up to £1000, woot! I am tempted to get the latest humble bundle (square enix) but shouldn't because I'm poor.
Watching this, the guy is super annoying and I feel this is over presenting the positives.
From April I will be ramping up my investment to £100 a month, not sure how long this will last for but hopefully until I buy my own house/flat.
I might now have a boyfriend.
I should do my aat now.0 -
So nearly completed VAT module, which is another £60 to spend for the exam  I just had to spend about £85 on AAT student membership.
My sister found £15 on the road last week!
I feel awful. I spent a lot of today just keeling over. I ate chocolate.0
