Big hugs Peaty. I have sympathy on the hand pain. Mine is my bl00dy wrist and it is sapping me, popping in and out and hurting picking up just about anything. Ami is helping but I am self managing by upping my dose and then I get woozy and tired so I am trying to drop back down!
Your xmas sounds hectic and fun. After my procedure I will be joining you in the fitness gears. One pair of fetching purple leggings and ablack sports bra from pre baby are not good enough! THINGS HAVE MOVED! And nowhere I enjoy them being... :rotfl:
Lets all do Pilates together
I am doing it purely to strengthen up my core and help to cope with the damage on my spine. And hopefully put off having arthritis in it until I am a bit older than 30
Love to all

Yes! It would be great to be accountable to people, especially to people with similar aches. I've been doing a little bit to begin with (about 15 minutes a day) where I'm doing lunges and squats mainly with a little bit of air punching. I've already found that stairs are easier and less painful! It's helped my knees and hips, I'm hoping that as I continue that it will get easier and easier.
Thanks for the tip SS, I'll look at the discounters but I'm a bit hesitant as I am of silly proportions. I require scaffolding! lol.
Lilt, you could get away with it before? Jealous!
Guys, guys, guys. I've done something terrible and brilliant. I. Have. Bought. My. Laptop. It was cheaper than I expected. I still want to cry about the money though. It's so much! So much! I've been saying I need a new one for a year at least but the money.

You and me Peaty - we are living the same life!! I will be clicking the button on buying my own on the 5th January and I fully expect tears and maybe a little bit of sick in my mouth when I do so. Ridiculous amounts of money but I am uncompromising in my need for something better than currently on offer elsewhere. I would build but I would still be stuck with Windows so I thought I would go Apple
scary money isn't it! Even though we both have the cash.. I have been saving for so long I have forgotten how to spend!
Yes, I actually could get away with it previously. I was about 10st 2lbs (even post baby) but the weight has crept on the last few years because of my back & quitting the gym when I was pregnant and never going back to it. I used to spend about 3 hours, 6 days a week on alternate weights & cardio training. I was wayyyy into it, on my own, music in my ears, pounding away on the treadmill. Now... about 11st 5lbs most likely after the last few days of eating! Really need to drop back, especially my thighs!!!
Glad you are finding you feel better. Little to start off with, building up... I struggle as I want to throw myself in full force, do a 30 minute workout dvd made by Biggest loser types & then keep over for 5 days!

I genuinely do feel a bit sick about the money, hope I'm happy with it. You'll be fine with your computer though I'm sure lilt, I'm just not a fan of apple myself.
I wish I was that small lilt, I don't think I'd ever had that body >.< I'm 5'2 and 60kg which makes me on the edge of being overweight. I want to go to 55kg by the end of the year, this was a good weight before in pain terms.
Been tidying, aww the christmas mess is less bad, this makes me happy. There's lots left to do but am not oppressed by the mess anymore.0 -
I am 5'5 amd shrinking with every disk that pops!! So my weight is not good and definitely in the overweight category!!!
Yay for no mess. I am desperate to put the tree away. I always itch to do it the day after boxing day but I am fighting the urge. Jelly loves it so.

Ah, I have scaffolding. Best thing about ever bought from shock absorber. Its a slight struggle to get on, but then nothg moves :rotfl:
Lilty, we are the same weight - are you sure - you look like a slip of a thing. I am 5'6.
Peaty, my back was definitely better when I weighed less. I'm looking forward to our Pilates class.
Hope your laptops are great. Lilty dont forget to let me know re. Apple discount/Unidays if needed.

Hello flo. Did you sign up for Unidays then? I had an offer from someone else who has since disappeared. I think they had a Unidays account. It is irritating and I need to go and look at it properly but then I get the irge to spend money that is still locked away and leave myself with a worrying lack of money until the 5th January and I just can't bear to do it!! Lol
Yes, 'tis true. Am afraid I am a lot heavier than I look. I wish I could say I am 'big-boned' or such like, but no, until I was 20 I weight 8st 8lbs and was eeny teeny. Then many ops and hormone changing drugs conspired to make me dump a few stone on and now it is creeping up again. I refuse to blame the implant. It is inactivity and overeating! xx

Hi
I'm delurking after having started reading your diary a couple of days ago.
Well done on passing all your exams
Lol at the weird phone call
I'm jealous of all your financial knowledge and savings
Good on you three for trying to get fit and doing Pilates with new trainers, leggings and sports bras
I won't be joining you with this as I'm lazy but could do with shifting some weight as I have aches and pains in my knees and hips which keep me awake at night!
2015 will see me sorting out my credit card debt which is just under £3000, sorting out my car (which if you have a quick look at my diary has been a nightmare in the last 24 hours) and organising savings, starting with replacing my Christmas 2015 fund.
Any way I have enjoyed reading so far with the addition of Lilty and some of the others that have joined you along the way.new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -

Ooooh a new person!
Hello KD, I'll pop over to your diary when I have a mo (I should be cleaning the shower, shh). Good luck with getting rid of the debt, I'm sure you'll do it! Actually, I found that doing 15 minutes of lunging and squatting a day has helped with my knee pains, maybe you could fit that in?
Lilt, I think you are tweeny weeny regardless of what you tell me, but I'm really happy to have you guys try this fitness thing with me. It's not the same with my IRL friends as they don't generally have even a niggle of a pain! They're supportive though
SS! I bought the shock absorber one! I spent like 5 minutes hopping up and down staring at myself. :rotfl: Thanks for the tip.
I got my trainers and they are the comfiest shoes in the world! I don't know if you guys are in need of new trainers but I got £60 adidas trainers for £30 in the john lewis sales. I barely take them off apart from to put on my boots to actually go out.
I've also bought new clothes and underwear (sales woo) so that I can refresh my wardrobe a little. Most of my clothing is several years old and fading. I've spent today sorting through my clothes, I'm getting rid of a lot!
But no more spending this month, I'm cheaping out for the next 3 months at least!
Happy new year guys, I'll be having a movie night with the family. Hope you guys will be having a good night.0
