Charged £94:00 for non delivery of Bedstar bed

I've just been charged £94 by Bedstar for a divan bed and mattress which the delivery staff could not get up the stairs. They solid our mattress when removed from our house and placed in their van.
My wife and I had to go to IKEA and purchase a bed the same day, and yes an identical mattress was taken upstairs without any problem. I intend to fight for my my back, hence any tips on the best approach.

What couldn't they get up, the divan base or the mattress or both.ikea only sell their own brand so the item couldn't have been identical?
How exactly did they soil it?0 -
I don't quite understand what happened - they solid your mattress?
Solid = soiled?
Which mattress, your old one or the one they were delivering?
Why are you being charged £94 according to the company?
Was it the bed or the mattress that wouldn't fit?
Was the mattress really "identical"? Some bend easier than others.Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. They are charging you for the damage? You didn't provide a cover for it like they suggest on their website? According to their website they only take it to the agreed room at your own risk, which you have to agree to?0
