Morning all. Ds2 only woke once between 12 and 6 for a feed .... hes now on formula due to him not feeding properly I tryed pumping to keep my supply up but it dwindled to nothing and my boobs were battered and brusied ... I was so sore .. baby seems back to his content self ... I was absolutely gutted but it just wasnt working for him ... he was a lazy feeder too so having to cocse him after 2 mins and him not taking anymore after 10 mins he just wasnt filling up ... I miss it so much already but im glad he is happier and gaining weight now ... his brother was on hugrier baby formula at 2 weeks old so hes probably follows him ... we have had our difficulties with both breastfeeding and ff but hopefully its now sorted onwards and upwards ... if I ever had any more (highly unlikely) (think the fact that dp didnt believe that I was in labour and LO being born 49 mins after getting to hospital scared the life out of him) I would deffo attempt bf again

    ETA - birth story
I gave birth on the 29th of November to ds2 ... my notes have my length of labour as 49 mins lol... we left for hosp at 5.10 I was checked at 5.45 and was told I was 3/4cm ... 2 contractions later I had the urge to push ... 6.05 I started pushing (as soon as I climbed on the bed after being taken to a diff ward) they even put me in the pool room hoping to let me have the water birth I wanted. ... 6.24 baby was born ... I had gas and air while pushing but nothing before then ... went into shock for a few hrs after because it all happened so quick my body needed time to catch up ... he weighted 6lb 9oz was 13 days early but completely healthy xxx

Just feeding bubs then im going to start flying else nothing will get done x

Valli, I have to ask - did you find the cellophane?

Oh yes, I did. I needed it to wrap HM jam for gifting (and I don't usually gift as much as I will this year because it's been a fabulous fruit year so I have loads) anyway, back to the cellophane...

I didn't find it in the drawer-under-the-bed at all - it was where I LOOKED FOR IT FIRST in the bag with the paper that is too long to fit under the bed...so the bed got cleaned out 'by accident'. I didn't spot it in the bag-with-the-too-wide-to-store-elsewhere giftwrap because its clear...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

so, what with messing about all day with various other jobs Villa Valli is VILE VILLA VALLI and since Valli lacks a valet I will have to show some valour and get the elbow grease applied house wide!

    Morning all.

I decorated the tree last night at last :o It needs some tweaking now its daylight but looks so much better than it did earlier in the week :) DD wants to put the topper on so I've left it off. She got up earlier and we had a little chat about what needs to be done today, she went in her room to get dressed and it went very quiet. I went in to see what she was doing and she was curled up on the bed fast asleep, so I've covered her up, shut her curtains and left her. And as I type that she appears through the door looking like she should be in a zombie movie.:rotfl:

Currently watching Four Christmases, and having breakfast. Think I'm going to whack some more decs on the tree to fill in the patches that look wrong, then I'm going to get on with the shredding. No point hoovering beforehand due to the amount of mess made.

Mr A is due around 2pm, then I can double check I have everything for Christmas Day :D

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Morning all (just :o) and thank you for my lovely Christmas cards. I can't wait to put them all up later.

Been up since just after 9am, but not much to show for it yet, other than washing work clothes for DS1 and decluttering tea and e-mails.

Yesterday I washed up, did assorted meals, took DS1 to work and made good progress with the LR. Going to get dressed now before more of the same. I will get the tree up today!

One very important job today will be to write my shopping list for tomorrow (mainly food) in the hope that I won't need to venture anywhere on Tuesday, other than to pick up the turkey (DH's raffle winnings at the club :T). Must not forget DH's birthday cards for Boxing Day and some suitable gift wrap.

Hope you're all going to have a lovely Sunday. x

DH is having a down day, so has been about as much help as a chocolate teapot.

(((Hugs))) and spoons to all in need - but you all sound very organised :)

Ionafan hope DH has a better day today. And I hope you are looking after yourself as well as him. Its so easy for all the focus to be on the person who is ill. (Voice of long experience :( )

Flying today will be at DM's house - family gathering to put up tree and decorations. Need to finish wrapping pressies before I go so rest of this morning will be a bit frantic.

After that - two days of serious house sorting to be all ready for Santa. Will need to fly at supersonic speed

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Fizz, it was the newly restored version which is doing the rounds of the art house cinemas, not the director's cut. OH being a filmy person saw stuff in it that he's never seen before and is trying to talk to me about 'the grading' which doesn't interest me at all, but might interest your OH. Mine started sniffing at the first bar of the music! The other two Italian films that wipe us out are Il Postino and My Beautiful Life - utterly wonderful perfection. (I decided last night that if OH goes before me and I have to organise his funeral, his music will be the theme from Cinema Paradiso. He apparently approves - he doesn't want a dry eye in the house.)

At least you know he's safe, Deco, and it's another reason moving back makes complete sense.

Today I think we have to find out how to put secondary glazing film on at least two windows, one tiddler in OH's office and a big one in mine and then we're off to a sort of panto this evening with friends.
    Better is good enough.

Epic fail: puff pastry does not make good mince pies :o

Or jam tarts for that matter. Have got the right pastry out and will start again later. Oops.

Supposed to be having quiet time but DS is chasing DD round in circles with a toy pushchair trying to get her feet :o just putting muppets on in the hope they will chill for an hour...

I've washed towels and school coats, really need to strip spare bed. I'll go put kettle on and run upstairs while it boils.

On weather watch here. Hoping to get out tomorrow, but we'll see. There's another storm on its way for the end of next week as well.

    Right. Kettle.

ETA, optimum, glad to hear little one is thriving, hope you're getting some rest X don't worry about the feeding thing, [strike]sometimes[/Strike] lots of times it doesn't work out XXX
