So you spent all that time preparing the POPLA appeal, and then the time of those who checked it and helped you only to then not bother to copy and paste it into the appeals form on the POPLA website. WOW

As Redx said, ParkingEye are quite litigious at the moment (they've just had announced lower than expected profits). This will only be a win if 6 years after the parking incident they haven't filed any court papers.

The Deep, the OP hasn't suggested he wants to go to court, in fact he says "so far it seems to have done the trick" rather than him waiting for a letter before claim or a claim form.
  • Well please don't expect any help at court if you can't be bothered to simply copy and paste something.

Good luck when you get your court claim.

And what if they do file court papers Da Rule, what hope have they of winning, very little imo. They almost certainly know OP's identity, they know they have a mountain to climb, and they must be aware that the courts are becoming more and more aware that these ridiculous claims are a scam.

It seems to me that OP has given them fair warning that he is not a person to be trifled with. He is in fact challenging PE to take him to court, and for that he should be praised not damned.

Well if they do file court papers lets just hope he can be bothered to file a defence as winning in default is extremely simple, even for PPC's. As Kirkby just said, he may find people on this forum less willing to help him. There are enough people who can be bothered who need help.

KIFL, winning Popla appeals is not the be all and end all. Some think that more damage can be done to PPCs by playing a longer game. We need more wins at court, not at Popla.

Also, the OP has never challenged them to take him to court. In his only correspondence with ParkingEye (his appeal letter) he asked them for a POPLA code so he could appeal to them. He has then, when his appeal was rejected, asked for help in preparing a POPLA defence.

I have no problem if someone wants to have their day in court. And much like you I think that if someone is bold enough to make the stand they should be praised and supported. This OP has not done that. They simply didn't bother filing the appeal with POPLA because other stuff meant that for 3 weeks they couldn't find 30 seconds to copy and paste the appeal.

Sorry but i have to say you dont know what you are talking about .
Parking eye have a very good chance of winning, they are appearing in court on average 3/4 times a day at courts around the country.

So this is one user i wouldnt bother helping when they get in a flap.

Redx, a rather censorial post in my opinion. Have you considered that the OP might welcome his day in court with PE. He has put up a corker of a Popla appeal, but perhaps thinks, as some do here, that winning at Popla is a bit of a cop out.

Yes a win at Popla gets the PPC off your back, but they get off lightly. Some think that that is not enough, that they need to be punished for their greed, and that they need to be exposed/humiliated in court.

Winning Popla appeals keeps these vultures under the radar. More court cases are needed, and the only way to get them is by refusing to play their game

I dont believe for one second that this OP wants a day in court , despite your constant sniping about this I would say that the vast majority of people do not wish these matters to go anywhere near a court and I am not interested in your opinion and never said I was

if you are so hell bent on going to court then either help these people take their cases to court or get some parking charges yourself and take your own to court

my point being stop trying to bend others to your will and get off your backside and do it yourself or help others who actually do want their day in court !

20 posts on page one and not ONE of them from you , proving you are just trolling here and have nothing useful to add in this particular case other than your obession in others going to court but not helping them in any way at all !

I was dealing with the fact that this OP wanted a soft appeal and advice and got it, got a popla code, went so far as to get a popla appeal prepared with more free advice from here and then was so tardy or lazy that they did not even bother to print , sign, address envelope, add a stamp and post it to popla, basic letter writing skills and not brain surgery

so I am with the other respondents on this, that this OP has wasted their popla chance and then is crowing about the fact that its been 60 days out of over two thousands days and they believe that this has somehow "gone away" because they have heard nothing further

you are not even looking at the dates of threads and encouraging people to take it further with old, out of date , hijacked threads , not only that you are the only person in this thread who strangely believes that this OP wanted to go to court, whereas the rest of us believe this OP has wasted their time and our time too and will be bricking it when an LBCCC or court papers arrive

at that time I will personally mention that they PM you and ask you to help them with their defence to any LBCC and also to attend the court with them in person to help them in their court case if that ever happens

I will also ask them to report back on here about your willingness or unwillingness to help them personally

in the meantime , you have not yet participated in this thread either https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4907642 so I believe you should help them out as well if or when it comes to court papers on any LBC

No need to Redx, there are enough people on here already who fancy themselves as barrack room lawyers. I spent my working life getting foolish people out of scrapes as British Consul, now I leave it to others.

BTW, do you honestly believe all those people who say their ticket was blown over by the wind? I certainly do not.
