I am sure its something like 'this is the amount the government says you need to live on by law'
But it not though is it because that amount means different things to different people. I have a mortgage to pay, at the moment I have the mortgage interest paid but this wont last so in theory my mortgage payments will need to come out this amount where if I rented I would get that paid. Likewise others might have higher bills in other areas than me so we are not all 'living off the same amount' as some get more of the JSA payment spare than others. I also get child related benefit so I get more money than those on JSA only.0

Someone somewhere came up with a figure many many years ago.iammumtoone wrote: »But it not though is it because that amount means different things to different people. I pay bills with mine, that's all I use it for. I don't 'live' on it at all. I used to earn £71 in less than 5 hours at work so its a tad less that I was actually living on and buying stuff with and going on holidays and out with mates etcWe’ve had to remove your signature. that is why some people do petty crimes to get a night in a cell and food you know.why are prisoners treated better. You wont starve in custody. Jobseekers are being treated very very badly. We’ve had to remove your signature. Because prisoners have had their liberty removed. They can't fend for themselves.
Jobseekers aren't treated ideally, but certainly not badly. I never was, no one I know has been. Public opinion is against job seekers due to a constant whining and excuses being made by a minority. Moan about how having to go to the wp all week is inhumane and no one who has to work full time will have any sympathy.0

never mentioned the work programme. Prisoners cant fend for themselves neither can people who have their jsa stopped. Bills still need paying
