However I was told 2 days/periods sick in the life of your claim not in a year. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Well since I had my last appointment on Friday, I applied for 7 Jobs, I always apply for about 4 to 5 jobs a day but I noticed its getting very quiet now due to Christmas and I am due to sign on this Friday.
Before anyone has a go at me, I can't apply for jobs if they is no Jobs, not everyone is looking for the same Position as you as what you looking for might be loads of Jobs for you, and what I am looking for might not be.0

red devil, your JSAG will specify how many jobs you must apply for every one or two weeks, as well as how many sources you must use, it's pretty basic stuff. If you really think applying for one job in two weeks is acceptable, then you really do not want to work.
 .
Where does it state that on the JSAG, mine doesn't say anything about how many jobs to apply for, it does state the sources I should use.0

I can't remember specifically. I've been made redundant a number of times already in my life (only 25), every time I recall having a set minimum number of jobs to apply for, had I kept all the paper work from last one, I'd have scanned it for you, they definitely wrote it in the book.
I was told in the Accrington area, people should be applying for between 3-5 jobs per fortnight. I actually told them I'd be more around the 15-20 mark, but they just wrote 5 on my JSAG anyway, and look at 3 different kinds of sources (Newspaper, Internet, Agencies). Granted 99% of job seeking was internet based, but that was because I was doing in the region of 10-15 applications a week, not to mention people approaching me based on my weekly CV upload to certain job sites.Professional Data Monkey

We have been over this before and I said mine says a figure or at least 10 per week and 35 hours job searching. I do the 35 hours and then some and at least 25 a week.iammumtoone wrote: »Where does it state that on the JSAG, mine doesn't say anything about how many jobs to apply for, it does state the sources I should use. We’ve had to remove your signature. I went in and filled out a reclaim form, in the meantime will be appealing and writing to mp. If they want me to apply for more jobs they have to say how many otherwise the goalposts will keep changing. How would the advisor like it if the boss said youve not done enough work this week we are docking your pay. You cant live like that.
They couldnt give a !!!! about their own people the government what has it come too.
I think you are misunderstanding the sanction you have recieved which is an ASE ( actively seekeing employment) one. It is combinded of a 2 week dissallowance...the reason for the reclaim form...and of a sanction which is either 2 or 11 weeks long.
It will have been imposed for you not taking enough steps to seek work, not just for how many jobs you have applied for.
eg. you apply for 20 jobs on Monday but do nothing the rest of the week you would be referred to a dm. As other posters have stated you need to take all the agreed steps in your jsag over each week.
The goal posts as you say will always change when is comes to how many applications are suitable, as the amount of jobs available for you to apply for in any one week will change upon what is advertised. However the amount of steps you need to take will stay the same unless a jsag amendment is made.0
