My bill went up by £7 last month. When I called them to query it they said that the extra discount I had been getting since the loss of Sky 1 had come to an end; they would not budge on reinstating the discount or offering anything else as a replacement. I only spoke to one person, but he said that they no longer really hand out extra discounts as freely as they used to. I am now paying £41 for XL tv (with V+), L broadband and XL phone. Although it still includes a 'customer loyalty' reduction, I would be interested to know if other people's discounts have also suddenly disappeared.

Thats the package ive got and im happy with it, I do watch the music videos and on demand stuff so the XL has been worth it so far (although my catch up hasnt worked for two days). I work funny hospital shifts so do like my catch up - would prefer a V+ box but cant afford £150!

    Are you paying £31 Wolfsbayne?

I am getting V+ installed on tuesday, got it for £75.I am not happy with this package though - I may phone them tomorro and see where I can get. I know others on digital spy who have much better packages with better phone and broadband packages.

I took out Virgin Media when it was still Telewest..

Mainly for the fact, there were 6 of us living in a house, and for £40 a month, we got 10mb BB and XL TV package.

Now it just me and the OH, we pay £30 a month, we get 4MB BB, L TV and Phone with free weekend landline calls.

This works out cheaper than the Skys 3 for £26, cos you wont pay £26. You will pay that plus the £17 line rental fee for BT aswell.

I pay, well I should pay  £29 for Broadband M TV XL and Phone (free calls at weekends). It should be the 3 for £30 bundle but I get £1 off for having paperless bills. However, I have to phone them most months as the bill is usually wrong. Yesterday I noticed a charge of £1.50 for Talk Mobile. When I queried this, I was told that they had added it, because I could then phone O2 mobiles for 11p instead of the normal 15p:eek:. I pointed out that I have a Virgin Mobile that gives me 300 minutes per month for all calls to landlines and any mobiles, so why would I want to phone O2 from the house phone:confused: The man said that they would refund the charge on the next bill.

I've got talk unlimited (XL) with 4-10meg broadband (L) for £23.95 a month.

Each month my bill has a £25 'loyalty' deduction listed.

I read somewhere on MSE many months ago that someone else had this deal so all I did was call Virgin and ask that I be given the same - they were very pleasant and agreed on the spot.

They also told me it was a life-time deal.....

The only snag is that they recently sent me a V Box for free TV (Medium) - unfortunately the old box connector thing next to my TV is the old Telewest style - analogue not digital.

Virgin wanted £30 to replace it (I'm skint  ) - they wouldn't waive the fee because of my loyalty deal.

Hey ho, still more than happy with the phone/Internet deal.

Yes, exactly the same thing happened to me last month, and again they were not prepared to budge. The first person I spoke to put me on hold and then cut me off so they didn't have to continue the conversation!
