Sorry ti just saw ur question
No i stopped the cancel within the 30 days after being offered the deal - so no charge
I am intersted in the v+ box but no way am i paying £150 to install - anyone get round that??0 -
£150 is just ridiculous! I keep on seeing offers from Sky but we aren't allowed to put a dish up so thats a no-go.
I wish we could just pick and choose the channels we want and just pay something like 20p a channel. I think I would have 10 channels then and thats it!0 -
After reading everyones comments for which I am very grateful, I eventually managed to get through to Virgin disconnections today. We were paying just over £50 for TV (L) BB (M) and phone (XL). So following everyones advise told them I had priced everything up with Sky, BT etc and could get it cheaper plus wanted Sky one back. 'Sarah' said they are in negotiations to get Sky channels back. I couldn't get a V+ box unless I paid £150 but did manage to get it down to £34.95 and upgrade the TV to (XL).She is just going to ring my hubby in the morning as its in his name to confirm then hopefully done deal. I'm sure some people may have been able to do better but I am a happy bunny.:A :T0

I only have cable TV with Virgin and got £10 a month off for a year last year when they lost Sky1. That ends this month and I wondered if anyone has gone back and managed to negotiate another rebate?
After all, I still don't have Sky1.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I have managed to negotiate cable tv (XL) broadband and phone package all on VM for around £21 a month.0

We currently have 3 boxes (1 is free and we pay £19.0 for the other 2) and are on the xl package (no sports or movies), we also have a phone line and we pay about £55 a month. Have tried many times to get the price down but tio no avail. They are always trying to sell me broadband which i do not want or a mobile chip! its a bit of a nightmare although its cheaper than moving to sky with the same package.0

I am thinking of joining Virgin Media, and was considering the 3 for £30 where you have TV-L, Phone-M and Boardband-M. But I want to include the V+ box as well and also change to TV-XL. It comes to like £49 on the net, and I am pretty sure I can get it to around £30 a month with a £75 on off fee for V+, since I have friends that gets these three things for this price. Just wondering if that is a good deal, or should I aim for a lower price when I do phone them up.0

If you can find any good deals on this package let me know as we are thinking of changing our package.Josey0 -
I phoned when Sky1 went and managed to get a better deal.
I've got:
L broadband (4mb - soon to be 10mb)
XL TV
L phone (i.e. evening and weekend landline calls)
All for £35...
Also I got a phone call a few weeks ago, they were doing a special deal for selected customers - got a V+ box including installation for £25... pretty chuffed with it, very useful indeed and being able to rewind/pause live TV has made a big difference... A friend from work called them trying to get the same but apparently it literally is for a list of hand picked customers - not sure what I did to get on there but i'm not complaining!0
