Prove it doesn't
Because retail staff are trained to treat all customers the same. So why should a crowd make a difference?
It's all something you've created in you're head thinking you can try to intimidate retail staff infront of a crowd!
Intimidation is just tactics bully style customers try to use when they can't get their way. As I said the staff are trained to ingone bullying tactics and treat all customers the same.
And before you even try to say that's not bullying your style is "go and try to find a crowd to intimidate the staff infornt of" If that isn't a bullying style of customer then what is?0 -
Prove it doesn't
Mrs JK works for a large supermarket. If customers become loud, disruptive or abusive (any of these) they'll be asked to calm down. If they don't they'll be asked to leave. Stores are becoming more and more aware of this tactic and it doesn't really work
All it will do is make you look like a loon to be fair0 -

Exactly. It is bascially bullying the staff. I can't believe Zandoni seems to think this is acceptable behaviour.0 -

Wow, how did the the word assertive become intimidation or bullying? You really need to get over yourself.
The OP has a problem with his laptop and it's still under guarantee, it's ridiculous to suggest that they can't repair it without restore disks that may or may not existed in the first place.
Has others have said most if not all laptops come with restore partitions on their HDD's. If that HDD can't be seen then there's a good chance it has died.
Any repair centre that can't repair and install windows without a restore disk shouldn't be in operation.
If they insist on the disks being present they should be suitably labelled to warn the purchaser.0 -

No, your method is, find a member of staff, try and get them into a crowded area then speak as loudly as possible so they give in to you.
Come on Zandoni that is your actual method.
You can bury your head in the sand as much as possible but you're basically saying act like a bully because it will intimidate the staff.
If your not saying it's bullying then why do you want to do it infront of everyone? Answer this point in particular!!!0 -

Alot of machines are labeled or prompt you when the machine starts. Alot of arm chair computer experts dismiss it and then cry when the retailer asks if you made said disks.
You must be one of the loons who keeps getting thrown out of stores0 -

No I don't think anyone should shout and carry on but I do believe that sometimes you have to be assertive. Let's face it if you are rude and there is no way the manager will use their discretion.
If you want to keep on discussing this please explain why you think it's good customer service to require a restore disk to be present.0 -

I can reinstall Windows onto any machine without any restore disks so why shouldn't an approved repair centre do it.0 -

So you're basically saying you need to get them on side! Which basically means your former method of intimidation probability won't produced as good a result.
Basically like I said all along. Looks like I have proved it!0
