£2111.75 to declare for December - I have managed to exceed my target! I will catch up with the rest of the thread in a couple of days but I wanted to wish everyone a fantastic Christmas and New Year.
Bring on 2015 - a year of high growth, high savings and a big step towards financial independence for us all.My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
£1000 for me in December, £12500 for the year. Managed to smash my £7000 target and give me a good cash deposit toward a house move.
Merry Christmas everyone.Save 12k in 2014 member 056

Happy Christmas from everyone here to you all
Declaring £286.06 for December, so £4500 odd for the year. Didn't reach my target but it has been an expensive year with granddaughter being born, but worth it of course.
Thank you SF for all your efforts this year, you are a star.
Have a peaceful New Year everyone and see you in 2015 for more saving shenanigans!

I was expecting more for December but brothers promise of topping up my saving for x-mas never happened. I added loose change I found in my pc room so final declaration for Dec was 195.34 so bringing year total to £5100.
@slowlyfading, I think I made a mistake when using the update form by putting 195.35 instead of 195.34 but its only a penny so not worried.0 -
Only managed £10,000 in 2014, but also bought a home, so some savings went towards conveyancing and SDLT.0

hi, this must be the most belated update ever, but I have been away from the forums for a good long while.
On the plus side, I HAVE kept saving, because I have had the money automatically funnelled out of my bank account every month, to the tune of £615. Could I please ask for this amount to be my total for every month from August to December? In fact it's been a bit more than that, I think, but only by a few pounds each month so it's not far off.
That will bring my grand total for the year to £8,639.79 - so I didn't meet my goal of £12,000, but it is £8,639.79 more than I possibly would have saved otherwise. Many thanks to slowlyfading for organising the challenge - I didn't forget about it in the months I wasn't here, and that helped.0 -
My year has went from good to bad to rock bottom. So I am declaring absolutely zero saved against my target and won't be joining in next year until I get sorted, debts building up, unemployed and homelessness are where my family is at at this present moment.
I will get back on track in 2015.
Well done to everyone who has saved towards their goals. I will join u soon.0 -
