  • Well although my target of £2000 by Xmas, my end of September savings was £2299.27. This was with just being paid though. As I've started this seems high, but hopefully it will hit the 3k mark near Xmas. Plus all my October bills came out so I'm now back down to just over £1k, but it's a
Payday soon again so it's be a nice big figure again soon.

Will update at the end of the month again.

    Well done everyone.

    Mortgage today = £161,690.76

  • Pay day, and I'm paying my savings £1500 straight off, which will be a bit of a stretch but November is a quietish month so I may be ok.

It was a good month will expenses, a bit of OT and a refund, though I did have over a grand of house maintenece to cough up.

So final furlong now! I will reach my target, but will see if I can manage £12,000 as well as clearing my mortgage next month. Everyone is doing really well, and welcome to the late joiners!

I'm declaring October 7 hours early as I am not spending money tonight - already submitted my entry slowlyfading - £2818.75 this month which is 16.2% of my yearly target. I should be able to maintain this I hope till the end of the year... maybe I might hit my target!!! woop! Im excited to see it updated on the spreadsheet too - sad right?
My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.

    48.78% towards 2015 target.

    105.3% towards 2014 target. :j

Not updated in a while. Hit my target, has been a decent year. Good work on the 900k total so far all.

  • Hello everyone,
I'm new to the site and wondered if i could be a late joiner to this thread?

I would like to save £8000 by the end of the year! I currently have £3000, but i am due some bonus's from work and if i fully commit to the idea of saving them im sure i could hit the £8000 mark.

I wish everyone good luck on their individual targets, i know theres not long left in the year!

I've added £300 to my ISA this month and another £100 to the pot for Christmas.

Only declaring the £300 as my savings as the £100 (and rest of the Christmas pot) is going to be spent pretty soon... Takes me over the £4000 mark. Just might be able to squeeze to the £5000 target. I'm going to try and be extra careful in November!

First update for a couple of months and unfortunately with a couple of large purchases recently, hitting my target at the end of the year is looking 50/50.

I do have 1,800 to declare for the month now anyway and I'm going to knuckle down now to the end of the year :-)

I'm awful for updating each month-- haven't done it since August, and only 3 times in total this year! That said, just updated with another £2,000 saved, taking me up to £14,000 for the year. I might get lucky and be able to reach £16,500 by the end of the year.

I've been ruthless for most of the year with the penny pinching. I've got so bad I've been wearing shoes for work with holes in the soles for the past 3 months until I can find a suitable pair that doesn't exceed my budget. :D

Might have to treat myself soon!
  • May I join? I have £10 but am expecting a bit of money when my benefits come through, which I will put in an ISA.
