Hi, has anyone been to Camber Sands yet? we are going on the 23rd and was just wondering what the place is like - things to do etc - many thanks!!!!
    Hiya

I went to Camber Sands last year. The site is in a tiny place called Camber which has a lovely beach but you need to hop in the car to get to anywhere. The nearest town is Rye, and Hastings is about half hour away or about an hour away is Brighton.

As for the site - it was nice. There is a large park there and last year, they had a bouncy castle etc outside which I guess depends on the weather at the time. I hated the evening entertainment as the room it was in was so so smoky but luckily that is no longer a problem with the smoking banned indoors now. They have nice shows etc in the evening as do all the holiday camps with the characters cuddles etc. There was a nice place indoors for kids as well, where my daughter played for ages - they do crafts etc in a room near reception and they have games systems and also a ball pond/climbing frame.

    It was a nice time.
 If I say something you like....Please hit the thanks button

    Hi there

Just got back from Camber Sands today.

Classic chalet was clean and adequately equipped. New larder size fridge with small icebox, 4 ring cooker with seperate grill and oven, new toilet and washbasin, fairly new wall coverings and carpets in the lounge area and bedroom and bathroom. Clean linen.
Downside, old flooring in the kitchen and the bathroom and black and pink mildew in the fairly new shower.
Had to travel a bit by car to find some /dettol Mildew remover before I would get into the shower.
Cooked all our meals apart from lunch in the restaurant, good fish and chips and a nice steak and kidney pie.
Large indoor pool, kids playground, on site shop, friendly and helpful staff, beach close by but we had c--p weather.
Only downside, lots of language students from abroad, noisy at night and making a real noise on the metal stairs to the side of the chalets. not much consideration there then!
Overall, not too bad for a freebie! Thanks again to the original poster.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

    Xmas Saver!
    Got back from Hemsby today.
Was better than I expected- kids had lots of fun and I didnt need to spend much money.

Chalet was basic but clean, the weather could've been better- the worse thing about it was the family from hell with a 5 year old that swore like a navvy and ran riot, turing off machines in arcade- keep up on the stage during the entertainment- and the parents seemed to be constantly effing and blinding at each other and ignoring him

My 12 year old won the Junior Bluecoat competition giving us another free break at Brean Sands
wow well donr to your son, shame the other parents let there boy do as he pleased makes me mad that  a 5yr old swearing
have now given up smoking since feb 13th 2014 loving the money I'm saving

Will keep a look out for them. I reckon they might have some more offers from different hoilday agents after the school hoildays when they get a bit quieter. I would love to get a free hoilday to goto Scotland. I hope i can take advantage of any other offers as i couldnt take any time off for this one, didnt realise till it was too late i couls of had a weekend away. Never mind eh. :j
