Whats Amazon got to do with this?

It's an example I gave up thread, where they wrote off more than this. If you'd have read the posts you'd know.

I don't see ebuyer just "forgetting about it" personally. He will have to take his chances if he goes down that road and doesn't fulfil his obligations of notifying them and keeping good care of the goods.

Oh I read the thread, but your reply had it thrown in there in the middle of directly relevant comments which confused me.

eBuyer monitor these forums in any case (as the same owner owns Wrens Kitchens which keeps being updated)...it wont be long...

On sunday I purchased a RAM module for £75 along with a Power Supply Unit (PSU) for my computer, which in total cost £156 in total.

I chose next day delivery, which ment it was going to arrive on tuesday, on tuesday when the parcel was delivered, I opened it, pulled out the PSU, and then noticed that my RAM was in a brown sqaure box, those who know what RAM is, will know that RAM is flat, and not in the shape of a cube.

So i then opened up the box, and instead of there being my 1 RAM module which I had purchased, there were 10 of them, I then double checked the invoice and it all checked out, I am only supposed to be billed for £156, when this is worth over £700.

Even thought the invoice says that I have only paid £156, but it has not updated in my bank yet, so I need to know what happens if it has automatically taken £750 from my account, what rights do I have, and how could I fix this.

    Thanks for reading,

    Matty.

Well Matty you have given Ebuyer enough info to identify you so I would be honest otherwise I am sure they will come after you for the kit back...Actually I would be honest anyway but you seem to have some doubts about whether that's a good idea

While he may have a moral obligation to notify them, I don't think he has any legal obligation. (Unlike taking care of the goods, where there is both a moral and legal duty)
