  • She come back to me to suggest a slob out infront of the tv instead of a turkey as long as we have sparkling wine, she likes a glass of that

But you will need to feed her, and to be honest there is only so much TV you can watch.

Three days is quite a long time to fill.

What about board games and a carpet picnic - thats one of my favourite christmas things - no cooking - food straight from the plastic packets - uncut bread, pate and cheese, olives and cake, sparkling wine and beer.

Ive just done a google search of the takeaways round here and we are near a large city - none open on Christmas day - Jimmy Spices buffet restaurant is open during the afternoon for a few hours. Nothing else.

Have you arranged with her who's paying for what and whether you're going to exchange pressies?
  • We are going to do pressies. nothing much and I'm paying xmas day, shes paying xmas eve and boxing day we'll see.

Christmas day a walk would be good. Ive got monopoly here and she keeps saying she will beat me at it.

I think like me, shes glad to have some company.

Some of you may remember my earlier thread where I said I will be spending christmas on my own.

I was talking to a friend at work and now I have a guest as she has no one either (Her daughter is at her fathers) so she is spending christmas eve through to 27th with me.

Christmas eve, just having a dominos infront of the box. But what do you "Do" on christmas day. Like I was planning a kebab and Dads army or are you being served. Whichever box set I grabbed first.

    What do folk do?
I've just learned it's going to be me and my dog.
  • Thanks for the tips guys

Ordered a chicken from a local butchers. Going to do all the cooking xmas day. She's had it rough so I'll treat her a bit
