Pm2326 I hope your cat is okay soon!
Went shopping today with my mum and got a few bits. We went into n*w look and they had lots of shoes in the sale for £7 each! I picked up two pairs at that price and another pair for £12.99. I thought I'd stock up on them whilst the price was right and I was happy with the style! My mum grabbed 3 £7 pairs too.
I also bought the day after tomorrow on DVD for £1 in p*undland and a dress (needed some for work/everyday use) for £10 in the tkm*xx clearance - thank you to whoever suggested that place to me! Forgotten who it was now but I'm very gratefulI was finding it hard to find normal/easy to wear dresses!

Hope your cat is better soon PM.
Lovely sunny day here, with a nice breeze ideal for drying the washing
We went to see DS, DiL and grandchildren today, had a lovely lunch with them, DiL had made some superb cakes and now I have eaten too much
We went for a lovely walk in the countryside, and our old dog was running about like a puppy after their dog, including following him into a lake when he jumped in after a stick :rotfl:
Came home and cleaned a lot of silver plate and pewter items for sale (yuck, filthy job ) and then recovered in the garden, planting up some hanging baskets with the strawberry plants that DD gave me yesterday, put in some rocket seed in a big pot, some extra broad beans as something is eating some of mine  and raked a packet of bee friendly annuals seeds I got free with something into the gaps in the border we redid yesterday.
Not a NSD, as I gave the grandchildren some money for Easterbut no supper needed due to extreme pigging out over lunch and cake, so that is frugal I suppose, if not good for the diet

Not really frugal but the local shop, which has been asked many times why they don't have a container to support food banks, has at last put one in the store. It was full to the brim within 24 hours, pleased to have made some small contributions. Bought a couple of rtc items for myself, a bent tin of premium dog food for 10p (53p) and a torn pack of salt for 5p (29p). I use half a mug of salt to a kettle of boiling water (dissolved in a jug, not the kettle
) to pour into the cracks of the paving slabs to kill weeds, grass etc., as I don't like using chemicals if there's an alternative. One application will last at least six months, so a cheap and effective way of clearing them.

I'm feeling a bit fed up too, its my birthday today, I have been working all weekend, got together with friends last night but they are all married but 1 and sat moaning about their husbands, I don't want to hear it!
After work I picked up my DS's and we had a takeaway £10. I got £110 for my birthday which is lovely but will go straight on my CC to pay towards my new laptop.
I feel I need to get myself sorted, going to apply for a new job 3 days, 9-5 so I don't necessarily have to do crazy shifts all the time. Then IF I get it after 3 months I'll go and see about a mortgage.
Did a Tesco online shop even though it's 5 mins drive, I had £15 off a £60 online shop and with multibuys I saved over £20.
This weeks plan is to investigate surveys sites, swagbucks etc, things I can do to earn vouchers etc to get birthday presents. Apply for job. Not do any other shopping apart from fruit and veg at the grocers and Easter presents for niece / nephew hopefully from £ shop.Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.
Keen to live a healthly lifestyle and save money0 -

Hope your cat perks up soon pm2326 xx
Not a frugal weekend here either, and I've ad to move some money out of savings to cover the spends (but hey! I have savings, which I couldn't say a few months back). Though I would have liked to have kept the savings, I'm happy with what we spent on
The first dry weekend where I've not been busy so I cracked on and deweeded the front garden - no small task! I couldn't find my hoe or gloves so we popped to a local garden centre and I treated myself to some. Plus DS2 was desperate for a bird feeder and we bought some reduced price tomato and pepper plants
My folks had the children for us on Saturday night and we went out with friends but that was a pretty cheap night out to be fair, and lovely.
I then got up early this morning and cracked back on with the garden and got that finished. Popped to pick the boys up, my Dad used our lawn mower and I rake the grass up, we came home and I mowed ours and raked the grass up here too!
Popped to another garden centre this afternoon and bought some small lavender plants (12 in total) to put in the front beds now hat I've found the soil that was hiding under the weeds. Oh and some herbs for the kitchen garden bed that Mr Shortie has been digging
It's fair to say I feel like I've done some exercise this weekend :rotfl::rotfl:
Also got some washing done, hovering and the kitchen cleaned. I'm on a course the next two days and have to be up earlier than I would for work - I hope I don't fall asleep while there!April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

pm so sorry to hear about your mog, I hope he's feeling better after a night's rest
Belated happy Birthday nat, hope you manage to find the job you want/need and get on well with the surveys - I'm not as fanatical about them as some but make around £250/300 a year which pays for Christmas. Good luck0 -
Morning all :j
No work today :j:j:j
Housework though as it is like a tip in here:eek:
Big pot of bolognese to make too, so watch out bendy vegetables, I am coming for you :rotfl:
Opened the door to let the dog out and was concerned to see a smashed tile outside the back door  Not happy after all our roof problems latelyI think it must have come from the main roof rather than the newly done extension though. I will get OH to investigate later.
Right, one more cup of coffee and then I must get on!0 -
today I will be frugal, today I will be frugal, today I will TRY to be frugal , today I will, ooooo HELP, no, today I will resist temptation and will not visit the garden centre.
I have just realised that I have no staging for my new greenhouse, so I will have to either buy some or find a HM alternative.0
