Have you considered something like AirBnb?
Not comfortable staying in someone else's home as a lone female, just feels a little strange. Far happier paying a little more to stay in a B&B with lots of other guests, or the YHA dorms.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Staying in today as the wind and rain are horrendous. Was going to see DGD this afternoon but looks like we'll have to postpone that

My car has cost a fortune this week, £287 for a new clutch and £79 in tyres. Its completely demotivated me and putting on 10lbs of the 30 I lost last month hasn't helped. I should be at my college course today but I just couldn't face it, life is getting on top of me again

Freeze it? Or put it in a soup flavoured with Garlic, Ginger and chillies? Add tofu at the end.
Or, a stir fry with whatever veg you have flavouring it with Garlic, Soy sauce and Ginger?I love deep fried tofu with sweet chilli sauce.LBM: NOVEMBER 2011 || debt free date:30/06/15 || The Fighting Debt Army: #442 || Frugal Living Challenge 2018 || January 2018 Grocery £1.22/£100 ||0 -
Spent £30 yesterday on dog crate but looking on it as an investment, as hopefully it will mean I wont have to keep replacing remotes for fire, telly & sky & that everything else that has been damaged by the devil dog can be repaired not for her to have the chance to repeat the devastation in future

Birthday didn't turn out to be so frugal. Planned to just stay inside but.... Ended spending £50 at supermarket on credit card for booze and food. Then the day after £40 on meal also at pub. Yesterday oh decided to take us out which cost £27. All on credit card.
so now I'm trying to recover our losses by making sure everything that needs to go on ebay does getting stuff out of loft to sell. Making sure we don't buy anymore food etc etc.
We are pretty skint at the moment
Money money money.

One thing that I have noticed about myself is that when I am skint I am able to adapt to the situation by doing things differently. I avoid situations where I can be tempted, much harder with the ability to buy nearly everything online. Though since one of my other traits is to have plenty of food in doors I could go for weeks without shopping if absolutely necessary bar the milk and dairy items. The freezer is very handy if you have previously stocked up on frozen vegetables. So for the milk I go to the supermarket with just cash so no temptation for other shopping. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
