Just reading the postings makes me want to stay frugal, it's my daily read every morning.
No spends scheduled for today, apart from the standing orders this month I have only spent 39.16 on food and a kindle book for 3.99 so I am really pleased with myself and want to keep it that way.
I have also set up monthly direct debits for oil, the water usage and the house insurance, so hopefully I'll have less nasty shocks this year0 -

Sorry I am in Australia - was coles and dolce gusto pods. Probably completely useless for you.0 -
I have bought a smashable piggy from a charity shop made from clay but I don't know which paint to use to paint it.
Can any kind MSE'er help me please"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -

Acrylic paint would probably be best. Poundland (and others) usually do boxes of 6 for £1.00. Acrylic is easy to paint with and won't rub off. If it needs an undercoat (to cover existing pattern) bog standard white household emulsion would be fine if it's big.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I have just had my weekly trip out to the shopping centre. I wondered around and picked up the tv paper we needed at home, costing 45p.
All the time I was wondering round, I just kept thinking "I must stay within the budgets"
In the end I came home as my budget thoughts were ruining my day out.:(
Hopefully it will get easier. It is only the first week for me so far.0 -

Hi T*sco value are 31p but I find they are a bit watery for my tastes. I did get 4 for a pound at B&M a while ago and they are lovely with thick juice. That is the cheapest I have seen them for soooo long. I bought 200 cans as we use loads! Seems a lot I know but over time that is quite a saving. If anyone's seen them cheaper please let me know where-thanks.0 -
No Using the Tumble Dryer in 2014 Challenge: Frugal January
Going to get my washing done tonight ready to hang out after the shower at 9 am in the morning. Apparently it's dry all day after that. I've always resorted to the tumble dryer in January before. Anyone else going to give it a go? Monday looks good too.0
