Week 2 and I have been frugal for me though not quite as frugal as I want to become

Have kneaded my first loaf (hope it rises while I surf).
Spent £55 on food last week but that includes some staples for the month. Not sure that I will keep to £15 a week for the rest of the month but will try.
Had nasty surprise with a gas bill saying I owed £600 this morning:eek::eek::eek: .Then noticed that it was estimated - not the reading I gave in. Rang in with today's reading and realized it is even less than the last quarter's estimated bill! So I should be in credit! Maybe I have been OVER frugal with the heating :rotfl:
Have walked everywhere possible instead of driving to keep within fuel budget so off to a good start with fitness/lose some lbs too.
Have never tried oats in mince meals but will give it a go as I have mountains of oats. There is only so much porridge I can eat.Debt Free. Have my Van.

For the sling debate - it is definitely a great idea. I used a front sling for my 3 children and it is so useful for keeping them happy/quiet. So useful for many things: used to sneak into the cinema with it and no-one noticed; quick breast-feed which no-one can see to keep baby happy; hands free at tricky times of day like making tea; hands free for hanging onto toddlers too; warmth on a winter's day
Debt Free. Have my Van.

Apologies - made an error - wasn't meant to be in there.
(I'd adjusted the pattern myself as they were originally a pair of Minion gloves)xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
We nearly didnt have a frugal day - my dad had been trying to alter the central heating, - came downstairs and mum was saying how toasty warm and hot the house was.......
Instead of the heating cutting in at 16C - and a 1 1/2hr morning (cuts in at 15) and ditto for evening - he set it to be on 24hrs at 22C...
Now back to normal.. typical man xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I finally finished my cardigan!
Trying to work out how to post the picture from my phone0 -
NSD for me today. :-)
Finished my fingerless gloves from leftover wool. Easiest pattern ever - cast on 40, knit in double rib (k2 p2) until reach where u want thumb hole to be. Rib 8 cast off 8, continue in dbl rib to end of row. On next row cast on 8 when you get to the gap then continue in dbl rib till they as long as you want. Cast off. Sew up. I use 4mm needles and chunky wool. Tryng to upload photo but cant find how to... Anyone know?0 -
I know I need to put a URL in the link that appears when you click the picture button but struggling to find the URL on Flickr!0

for uploading photos - I go via photobucket (free to sign up to) load your photos up to that and it gives you a link to each photo and then you put the link on the post.
I know some people can upload directly, never been that lucky, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
