One Headlight

Perhaps as many modern cars have difficult to replace headlight bulbs, I remember my MK4 Golf, the official way to change the bulb was to remove the bumper and light cluster, it could be done eventually without removing the battery, but not a quick easy job. The rear bulbs on some hatchbacks also require the whole cluster to be removed.
Doesn't make it ok though.0 -
It's because they're idiots. They're the same people who never check oil levels, tyre pressures, fluid levels etc... The only upside is that they're quite obvious to spot so it's easy to give them a wide berth!!
I have noticed this year more and more people are forgetting to switch their lights on at all, I've given up trying to warn them as they are oblivious to ANYTHING on the road that's not two feet in front of their bumper. :mad:0 -
In my experience, because most of them turn on their front fog lights to compensate for themselves0

Nobody can beat this level of tw@tishness I saw the other day:
- Only one headlamp working
- The working headlamp was only on half (Assume the dipped bulb had blow)
- Foglamps on
- Yet one foglamp was out
I dispair (despair?)0 -
I thought it was OK to drive with one headlight, so long as you compensate by keeping it on full beam at all times?
Bit like the law that says you're allowed to park anywhere you like, so long as you put your hazard lights on.0 -
I always notice more "one eyed monsters" at this time of year. The cold can cause headlight bulbs to fail when switched on.
Especially in town, with street lighting, it can take a while to notice the difference. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Yup. If you've only got one headlight on, then you can't see the double yellow line you parked on, so you're not liable to any fine.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Are you sure it wasn't a VAG car going round a corner or indicating? Great way of making most people think your flashy new car has a broken fog light.0 -

But were the working headlight and foglamp on the same side or opposite sides? :cool:0
