One Headlight

On a side note. Does cold weather affect bulbs?
In the last few weeks I have had 2 numberplate bulbs,1 sidelight,1 brakelight and a headlight bulb go!Yes. When it's first switched on, a cold filament will briefly draw much more current than the continuous rating. If it's colder due to the weather, then the chances of the filament failing is higher. As I've said above, I always see more cars with one headlight when the clocks go back and/or the weather gets colder.Well thats good. I was thinking the car had it in for me
No the car has it in for me. The other headlight bulb went this morning

Two headlight bulbs from the same batch, subject to identical usage patterns, both fail at roughly the same time... shock!
Also, since it's dark, checked mine and the alighnment is almost perfect, looks like the beam cutoff is an inch or two lower on my neighbour's window, which is nothing really and I'm parked on a slightly sideways slope anyway.
It'll get me through xmas and then the MOT is due anyway so I'll get them to do it.0
