While its always a good idea to stay anonymous online, its pretty outrageous to suggest anyone on this thread would set out to do harm to anybody.
For the record GR, I'm pleased the cat is getting sorted. Those of us who posted with alternative points of view wanted the best for the cat too, we disagreed with the methods and the blinkers, not the intention.
Well said, and I echo every sentiment.0 -

@PersonOne - there was no other way. Owners were lying, uncaring, heartless bas...s and I was not prepared to consider their "feelings" while helping the cat, neither did Ewa.
That is now proved beyond any doubt - they were lying and cat was suffering.
So if anyone had blinkers on - it was YOU, not us. WE had our eyes wide open.
End of.
And I repeat above.0 -
Will the vet who saw kitty be reporting this couple to the rspca ?0

MSE gone psycho on us me thinks
Lol......URmmm, could be more from me in the stack too....just ignore them (mine I mean).Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
I think Ewa took kitty there as a stray - not sure, she would need to confirm.
Important thing is kitty is/will be fine now0 -
On the form you posted it stated found as stray.Better the RSPCA don't get involved or they would demand the cat as evidence.
That "evidence" is soon to disappear into a loving warm home, somewhere maybe none of us will get to know but so long as we get updates we will be happy.I think in a virtual way,we have all adopted her!!0 -
I don't know Person One from these boards very well , but I do others(or Gold dust at all)...but initially I think that although it's not how I felt from the outset with this story and didn't agree with her, that had the cat in fact been old and happy living there then they both had a valid point about talking to the owner.
I will also add though that from experience that usually has zero effect.
However as things and photos progressed it was clear that the owners didn't give a fig and that ok we had one persons view of this (or two) but with the photos, and a general feeling about this situation they have been proved to be right...and most certainly the vet has just verified this.
In the end a positive outcome has happened for this cat, and to be honest down to someone's gut reaction about a situation. The world would be great if every cat or dog looking scruffy was happy and had a nice owner....the sad truth is that this isn't always the case.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
It is someone who uses MSE that takes kitty in - on the way to collect her now.
If she chooses to let everyone know who she is - it is her choice of course, will see.
If not, sure we will get some updates by other means0 -
rofl - Ewa could hardly turn up and say 'I nicked this cat - is it 19 years old, on a special diet and missing its brother' could she?
from what has been posted (and hopefully deleted by now - tho I understand you posted it to 'prove' matters). the vet says its about 8 years old and has no health problems apart from worms and a prob with paw (may or may not, have been caused by Miss Kitty panicking when hearing the dogs).
I think you and Ewa were totally in the right of it. if someone shamefully neglects their cat the way this poor thing was - then either the cat is going to find another home itself (and I have this feeling the cat knew Ewa was going to be a 'soft touch') or someone was going to take action, or that cat was going to die on the street. somehow I think they don't really care!
but, Ewa did, so did gettingready and so did some of us on here!
at the end of it - this cat now has a chance at a good forever home and a good life - now how does that compare to living around a bus stop, sleeping on a pile of bricks and the constant danger of traffic?0 -
Guess who is THAT?0
