Please Ewa and Gettingready - there is a LOT of personal info on this thread - please go back and delete it. some of those who posted can be very vindictive.............I would really hate to see Ewa get into trouble for the wonderful thing she was brave enough to do!

    Oh for crying out loud.

While its always a good idea to stay anonymous online, its pretty outrageous to suggest anyone on this thread would set out to do harm to anybody.

For the record GR, I'm pleased the cat is getting sorted. Those of us who posted with alternative points of view wanted the best for the cat too, we disagreed with the methods and the blinkers, not the intention.

Just like to say again, when I found my ginger tom a few years back, was actually after I had been on holiday from work and the cat obviously was used to the area, he kept trying to get into the supported accommodation block where I worked. I had never seen him before in years of working there, I assume he was an indoor cat. He was living in a bin shed. I fed him for a couple of weeks but one night it was !!!!ing with rain and I thought, I have to get that cat. I dont know what age he was, maybe 2 or 3, not neutered either or chipped

But I do know if I hadnt taken him he would have probably died, weve had some really harsh winters in Scotland, no way would he have survived them

Almost 7 years on, Im so glad I took him, he wasnt chipped either. Other people were feeding him too but I didnt know. Sometimes you have to go with what you think is right.

Once you are sure the cat is a stray, take them and try and get them rehomed and as I said before Id find someone to rehome them long before Id ever take them to a shelter

Its a great thing youve done you and your friend, youve saved that cats life and shown it some much needed affection.

Not enough people in the world who care for animals sadly, lots of people would have walked the other way and just left it to die, because at that weight, it wouldnt have lasted much longer I bet

Its very possible the swollen stomach could be from lack of food.

Inbox cleared - now do not blame me if/when I forget anything that was in my inbox hahaha :)

@PersonOne - there was no other way. Owners were lying, uncaring, heartless bas...s and I was not prepared to consider their "feelings" while helping the cat, neither did Ewa.

That is now proved beyond any doubt - they were lying and cat was suffering.

So if anyone had blinkers on - it was YOU, not us. WE had our eyes wide open.

    End of.

You and Ewa have been vindicated - I doubt that cat would have lasted the winter. a tummy as distended with worms as that cat at that horrendously low weight could also have been fatal.
2.7 Kilo! my Barnes was dangerously low just under 4 Kilo! and that wasn't cos he was neglected - that was stress and it has been dealt with.
