Sounds like they are doing a wonderful job with her, giving her a full MOT.So glad she isn't pregnant.Maybe she has been spayed.Let's hope so,it would mean countless litters of kittens haven't suffered too.

Urghhhhh worms. Rather you than me. My youngest dog was riddled with worms when we bought her home from the breeder. Still, its got to be done!

    FIV. FLV negative.

Healthy (apart from paw issue) 8-9 yo cat - not a 17-19 yo on a specal diet (!!!!!)

Underweight, matted, neglected but lets look forward ;)

Partly shaved, wormed, on painkillers for the paw - ready to be LOVED :)

Heavens, my little cat is quite a small frame (most people assume he's female) and he weighed 3.7K at the vets, I dread to think what 2.7K of cat feels like.

Well done Ewa for following your instinct that things weren't right.

2.7kg is no weight for an adult cat, and I can tell you it feels like nothing. I know this for a fact as our old lady went down to 2.6kg. She had a severe thyroid problem that we managed for years with tablets, but in the end she pretty much stopped eating altogether. We tried everything, but in the end it was kinder to put her to sleep. I hated seeing her like that. She was never a big cat, but weighted a healthy 4,3kg during her younger days.

I live ruddy miles away or would have had her until could be collected (northeast)...i'm assuming that post code is london(ish) area? as I think GR is london area.

Wait...would a cattery have have her?...in the sectioned off area until she has vet ok etc??..and injections etc.

Brill she's got better health than first thought...and half the age they said......ruddy liars.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

I'm in the NE too calicocat :( I have a friend who rescues and rehomes cats, last time I spoke to her she had around 15 (plus around 5 dogs) that she was trying to rehome plus others that were in other peoples care until she could find homes for them too, she never turns a dog/cat away.

I keep thinking about having another addition but I don't think Salem would be too happy, took him nearly a year to get back to his old lovable and playful self once Gizmo joined us.
