Hi Crispycreme,
It sounds as though you are really getting on top of your situation now and were in a much better place than when you first posted!
As for our wedding? The dress was ordered off the internet - handmade and came in at about £100 I think. It looked stunning. From https://www.etsy.com
Bridesmaid dress came from Next for £18 and the veil was made after a trip to a fabric shop and a You tube video for £6
We held the Wedding Breakfast and reception at home, just 10 minute walk from the registry office (which had just had a new carpet laid and looked fab). Despite it being late October we borrowed gazebos, party tents, heaters, tables, chairs, tablecloths, candles and made bunting and other decorations. I made a sign post out of an old fence post, skirting board and filled a bucket with concrete. Despite the description it looked amazing!
A friend gave us a free hour with a photographer which we had a week later as we didn't want the day interrupted by the photographs. We also had a Facebook campaign when requesting things to borrow such as lights and vintage china.
I used vouchers and nectar points to reduce the food bill to £62 and sold stuff on ebay to pay for the reception canap!s which again fed 75 at a cost of £60 which were cooked by a friend.
I have to say I was sceptical at the beginning but it did work and it was such a lovely day.0 -
Hi crispycreme, just wanted to say congratulations on getting yourselves sorted. Its such a hard step but it will be so worth it in the long run. Be careful with the statute barred debts as said above. Good luck. L2B.xxxLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180
