Yodel - worst delivery company I've encountered! Liars!

You should also ask for a copy of proof of delivery, even if it is on paper you are entitled to a copy. If you find there has been a forged signature you could pursue this as fraud and theft. That's my next step, he also stupidly put an initial as L, when neither of us have that initial and it was supposedly signed at our address! He could have just looked at the name of the recipient!!! Would your parcel have been addressed to your wives maiden name?
This is the major thing I've been saying to Very, it's my wife's contract with them and not Yodel. We did try calling Yodel, but it asks fir a tracking no and ends the call if you don't gave one. I've been chasing on behalf of my wife, as she's pretty much deaf, so struggles on the telephone.
The other thing is that when they claimed the item was delivered, my wife was at a festive fair in Manchester; however her account is under the double barrelled surname she took on when we were married. I wouldn't have signed for a parcel under my wife's maiden name and I was in that day; as I work from home as a videogame PR specialist.Bankrupt 28/07/08!0 -

I know it's not helpful for you, but I'm so glad we could contact the driver! It's like banging your head against a brick wall trying to get Yodel or anyone else to resolve it in a hurry. I don't get why they can't immediately contact the courier (like I did) to query it, my parcels turned up, so I'm sure others would...
Contact Very again first thing and ask for an update, it will have been 3 days. If you don't get a satisfactory response, ask for proof of delivery and report it to the police as theft. You'll be able to prove the signatures don't match with your wives passport or bank card. If his paperwork never turns up, they'll have to resend as they won't have proof it was ever delivered. It's frustrating that you'd need to go that to get it resolved but hopefully by tomorrow they'll sort it, explain your intentions to report it as a crime too.0 -
Thank you very much, I'll update when I hear further:)Bankrupt 28/07/08!0

Hi Dave,
Can you please keep me CC’ed in on all correspondence, please?
As we’re now some 72 hours on, we’re seemingly doing all of the chasing on this matter, even though we’re the customer and should be protected. Yodel are telling us to go to you, you’re telling us to go to Yodel. Can you forward Debbie and I a copy of the 'tracking number’ please?
Regards,
DanHi Dan,
Please accept our apologies we have now credited your account. This will show on your next statement.
If you wish to reorder please just order in the normal manor.
Many Thanks

No explanation, no real apology - nothing. I'm disgusted by how Very and Yodel can get away with treating people like this.

I ordered a mobile phone for delivery to the local Tesco express. The Yodel records showed delivery was attempted at 5:15am when the store was closed and I confirmed no staff present. The item was scanned back into the Yodel depot and then never found again. Caused lots of grief with Tesco as phone was no longer in stock - as it was a really good deal and they had sold out. They couldnt even say whether it would come back into stock.0

Ask the Yodel driver to give you a ring, on your new phone.0

After a morning of emailing, Tweeting and calling, I received the following.

Glad they credited your account and you don't have to go through the process of proving you never received it! Doesn't excuse what has happened though and it's so alarming that they seem to disregard the fact that the parcel was signed for... I guess it's easier to refund than investigate every single case and expose a network of criminals facilitated by Yodel!0 -
Thanks Raffles. I'll post an update soon, something else is in the pipeline:)Bankrupt 28/07/08!0
